This may sound stupid but I ordered a 10oz. plastic can of Blackhorn 209 black powder and some Blackhorn loading tubes but did not realize the plastic can of powder did not come with a pour spout.

I ordered a spout but it won't arrive until after my hunts this weekend.

How do you pour black powder from the can into the loading tubes without a pouring spout?

Go to the drug store and get a small funnel they should have one used for medical uses. Get something you can stand your loading tubes in and fill them without them falling over with a funnel in them. A lot of the kits you get for starting bullets have a small funnel and other supplies like a cap holder strip, capping tools and other items that are needed, they might be what you need. Walmart or the LGS might have the other stuf as well. Are you using round balls and a patch, mini style bullet or a Power Belt bullet. I would practice a couple shots beforehand to see aim and accuracy. Then clean with water and re oil imediately. Good luck with your hunt.

Until you get a funnel, you can roll up a slick paper like a mag cover, and work it til you have a small end to fit tubes, scotch tape the outside in a couple spots. Pour powder in the large end. Home made funnel.

This is basically what I do, although I wouldn't worry much about what type of paper or tape to use.
I just grab the first thing I find which is likely a piece of junk mail, and masking tape.
I form the cone to a point and cut to fit with scissors.

Kitchen funnel. For powderhorns, I always grab the little black funnel thing that the doc uses to look in your ear, since the hole in a powder horn is usually a bit smaller.

Old cartridge case epoxied into a can lid. Used to solder them when the cans and lids were metal.
