Some people name everything, their cars, houses, etc.

Do any of you guys name your guns? And if so, what are they?

I've only named four: Thunder the AK, Lighting the AR, The Holliday Special the 12ga coach gun, Nightfall the Rem 700, that's it for now, but I've got some more guns without names...

I do have the EAA "Vindacator", and that seems to have stuck, so I guess that one too, but that's the models name so, I don't know if that counts

Only one. For some reason the first Mosin Nagant I got took the name "Mr. Mosin", I called it that one day and it stuck. Not very original but I guess it counts as a name...

Its a Tula hex 91/30. None of the others have names.

"Mr. Mosin" I like it!

My Mosin was the first serious rifle I bought. I heard the name "Soviet Reunion" for a Russian made gun, but since I didn't think of it, I couldn't use it.

I call a particular .410 single shot "The fatty gauge" and I call Daddy's Beretta 390 "Ol' Bent Barrell" or "Italiain Trash".

Note: I love Italian shotguns...

I have referred my truck as a deer slayer but when it hits 15 deer in one year it makes sense. 3 or 4 is my average.
Troy, my dad has a similar problem. He always seems to hit a deer cause he's looking at the fields for them instead of keeping his eyes on the road, then...bang (not saying that's what you do). Btw, can I hunt unarmed riding shotgun with you? :DI've been skunked 3 years in a row freezing my arse off in the woods. I like your method better.

As far as naming guns. This topic comes up from time to time. I think it's ridiculous. A gun is a tool. I have hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, power tools etc. No one names these tools. Outside of "old reliable", the occasional "she/he runs great", but to name a gun a persons name has always sounded stupid to me.

I think its just I use so many back roads and deer are like rats in my part of ny. The building a nice bumper and brush guard did not help, I just stopped hitting the breaks, why flat top good tires when you don't have to lol. Yes your welcome anytime.

Guess the only gun that may have a name kind of that is , a Winchester semi auto .22 rifle my dad bought in 1970 . First rifle I ever shot it was not including bb guns . It got given to me by my mom after he passed . Was first rifle my son and daughter shot to and my daughter asked if the 2 grandgirls will shoot it to . I said yep .Take it out about once a month or so and shoot it . I have always called it "dad's gun" , my kids call it "grandpa's gun" . It will be given to my son later . Would not trade it or sell for anything .

I call my .223 The Sako even though it's Frankensteined from other parts.

And I've started calling the model 66 Boomer because she is reminding me that my ear pro isn't really up to snuff....
