The thread Think we'll get current SBR regs thrown out? (proposed bill The Home Defense and Competitive Shooting Act of 2019) got thrown out of the Legal forum. Kinda like a Perry Mason scene: "Objection your honor, calls for speculation."
But what is the Legal forum?
In the Legal Forum we try to understand what the law is (including court decisions and proposed laws), how it works, and how it applies to RKBA issues. We focus on the way things are – not the way we think they should be. However, nothing in the Legal Forum is intended to be, nor should it be considered, legal advice.
(my emphasis added)
The position of the moderators appears to be: "Legal is for discussion of current law only, what it is now, like it or not." (my impression, not their words).
If my impression is correct, then the and proposed laws should be removed from the description of the forum, if discussion of bills (proposed laws) is off-limits.

I'm closing this and will ask Staff to discuss the issue. However, this is my view of the bill, posted elsewhere:

Virtue Signaling such as the HPA, Reciprocity and SAGA acts turned out to be. I'm glad folks put such forward but it has zero chance but good for PR and fund raising.

Also, if you have a problem, use a PM to ask the question.

Let me add, that in general discussing a nascent bill is a huge waste of time. Often, the introduction of a bill is nothing more than political theater, and the initial press release is the last that anyone will hear about it.

In general there's nothing much to talk about unless that bill starts to be seriously worked in the legislature. Even then, it's pretty futile to spend too much time discussing the details because bills often change significantly as they go through the process.
