It would depend on the requirements. If i could take it and sell it or if i had to keep and shoot it. Or carry it. I like the glock if its my $ and my butt on the line, i like the sig if its cheap/free and for range use. I like sig but i'm not going to carry a 229.

First of all let me thank you for your extraordinarily generous offer! Since I already have, and love, my SIG P229 in 9mm. I would go with the P227 SAS. Many, many years ago I had a Browning BDA in .45 (a SIG P220 by any other name), and it was one of the most accurate and softest shooting .45s I have ever used. Would like to see if the P227 could match or exceed my previous experiences with a SIG in .45 caliber.

My first choice would be the ATI... in .45. I have no use for a .40, and no use for a DA/SA auto, so otherwise my vote would be 'none of the above.'

The SIG P227 is one that I’ve always wanted and it’s out of production so that’s the obvious choice for me.

The 1911 since I don't have one and have always wanted one. The G23 would be my second choice since it is a very good all-around carry gun. If Glock ever releases a Gen 5 G23, then I will be like a fat kid at a buffet.

G23 - not a fan of P22X Sigs being a left handed shooter. The slide lock is too far back on the frame making it useless to a lefty.
Slingshotting the slide or switching hands get old.

Amazing at the differences in the poll between here and at Defensive Carry, you guys are more into the ownership , shooting, and use of the gun and have a more electic taste in firearms as there it's all about carry and defensive use, the polls between the 2 sites are nearly polar opposites

Makes sense given the emphasis of the other forum.
