Anyone know about how quickly I should expect NSCA to update shooter class? The move up would be based on getting a punch on first registered clays. If anyone has some info on this I'd be grateful to hear it. Class will probably make a difference on where we'll want to shoot next.

Thanks.

YOU are responsible for knowing what class you are in, regardless of how far behind NSCA is in getting things updated. With nationals recently over and year end reviews and updates going on, it might be a bit.
When I started, I joined at my first shoot and won 4 punches to move from D to C for the next weekend. I didn't get a NSCA number until a month and a half or so later when I was already punched up to B class

And why would your class dictate where you'd want to shoot next? Don't worry about class and punches; focus on learning about new targets, being safe and having fun. NO ONE gets rich shooting sporting clays, so fun it is!

You're welcome! Now, go shoot and have fun!

What part of GA are you in? (PM if that makes you more comfy)

I shoot in GA, AL and FL; maybe we can hook up and shoot

NWGA. May go to Floyd Co wildlife this week, but not committed.

As far as getting rich shooting clays, I gave up on that from the start. It's my son that's shooting most of the clays and he's put a big dent in my shooting and putting away for what may come budget. I spend more time helping then shooting. Now I understand why my dad enjoyed taking fish off my line so much.

I tried to get my sons into sporting clays, but life brings changes and things didn't happen that way. North GA in general has some nice places to shoot.

Don't know if you are aware of this site:
https://www.claytargetsonline.com/georgia/
That lists all the clay target places in GA (the home page will let you select other states if you like to travel)
