In somewhat of the same vein of my, "Do you name your guns" question. Do any of you guys have any Quotes, Lines, Verses, Passages, Logo, or Sayings on your guns at all?

I don't have pictures of any of them, but I have a sticker of the Jolly Roger of Calico Jack Rackham on any of my guns that have synthetic/polymer/plastic stocks and it'll fit.

I have "Liberty or Death" on my AR and Rem 700.

I don't know if this counts, but I colored in the Fire/Safe portions of a few of my rifles with red/white, and I colored the logo white on one of my pistols.

I am trying to think of something to put on my TCR 22, I am going to write it on with sharpie, because it can be erased with nail polish remover, if I ever decide to sell it.

So I wanted to ask you guys.
1. Do you have any ideas for me to put on my 22?
2. Do you have anything on your rifles/pistols?

Let me know!!!

I own a pair of Ruger 22/45 pistols,,,
They are stainless steel with slab-side barrels.

The guns are named Veritas and Equitas,,,
Latin for Truth and Justice.

I've often considered engraving the names on the barrels,,,
But engraving a gun is like getting a tattoo,,,
Too permanent for my tastes.

Perhaps a new set of wood grips,,,
With the names laser engraved on them.

Same purpose and sentiment,,,
Without the permanency.

My defensive carbine used to wear a badge, "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum", until the backer broke. It is now one of many such decals on my cabinet, but none of my firearms have any similar markings now.

I have a friend with a Glock that has the cross from boondock saints cut through the top of the slide and aequitas and veritas on the sides. It's nice and I'm a Glock fan, its usually my first recommendation but a Glock is a 400ish dollar gun to me. His was over a grand and that's not Glock money IMO. Kind of like the guys spending 50k on a 5k civic back in the 90s when I was in school only to get outrun by every 500 dollar domestic car (and most trucks) for their cars entire shortened lifespan.
I have a Glock 29 with a very tiny bible verse on the rear firing pin cover. Psalms 23:4 I believe. But I wouldn't put anything not functional on one myself. Just too cheap.

This may not count, but my repro SAA has my name engraved down the backstrap and a small Masonic square and compasses on the right grip. I also have my initials in silver inlay on the trigger guard of my SXS bird gun. As far as 22's go, I'd like to get one of mine engraved with some clever comment like "squirrel sniper" or "bunny buster", though I can't quite talk myself into it. There is a guy who does custom laser etched bolts for 10/22's, and he has some rather clever "sayings" on his products. You might do a quick google search and see what you can turn up.

While at a Gun Show in October I was looking over various engraved AR Ejection Port Covers that were on a dealers table and my wife picked one that says “If you ain’t Texan you ain’t s***” so I brought it. I ain’t Texan but she is a native Texan so I suppose this means I need to build a AR using that dust cover for her.

I have a another Ejection Port Cover engraved “.223 WYLDE” and one that has the American Flag on it

is the reference you speak of?

Unless there was sarcasm or for anyone who didn't know.
A mediocre movie (then a sequel) where the two vigilante protagonists have tattoos on their hands. One has Veritas, the other Aequitas. Often used in the artwork for the film

I have an S&W model 10 with “C&E xxxx” on the back strap of the grip. The x’s stand for 4 numbers. The gun was a Hong Kong “Customs & Excise” Police gun. I also have 3 Rugers with “the bible” engraved on the barrel as EdwardWare mentioned above.

I personally would not have a gun engraved. It’s not my style.
