In somewhat of the same vein of my, "Do you name your guns" question. Do any of you guys have any Quotes, Lines, Verses, Passages, Logo, or Sayings on your guns at all?

I don't have pictures of any of them, but I have a sticker of the Jolly Roger of Calico Jack Rackham on any of my guns that have synthetic/polymer/plastic stocks and it'll fit.

I have "Liberty or Death" on my AR and Rem 700.

I don't know if this counts, but I colored in the Fire/Safe portions of a few of my rifles with red/white, and I colored the logo white on one of my pistols.

I am trying to think of something to put on my TCR 22, I am going to write it on with sharpie, because it can be erased with nail polish remover, if I ever decide to sell it.

So I wanted to ask you guys.
1. Do you have any ideas for me to put on my 22?
2. Do you have anything on your rifles/pistols?

Let me know!!!
Do you feel lucky punk?
Well do yuh?
Just kidding. I'm cheap.

Nope. I think any sort of political or "death" inscription on a carry gun is a very bad idea.
Couldn't agree more. Even... 320x0w.jpg Or the like, can be used against you in a rightful SD shooting. Lawyers know how to twist things in thier favor, even if your totally righteous. Why give them an excuse to play you off as some sort of mercenary. Adding something like this a bad idea imo.

I put some bright green on the side of the hammer on my M92. It makes for a very quick visual indication that the rifle is not cocked and therefore in a safe condition.

My guns are all cosmetically stock. I find stickers and painting to be a little tacky. Engravings can be nice to commemorate something, but that's still something I wouldn't do.

The closest thing I have is a "Honey Badger" lower from Spikes. Normally I avoid those types of things, but I picked it up cheap on Armslist, and the icing on the cake is my wife and I call our 4 year old daughter "The Honey Badger". So one day, I'll have to pass this gun on to her.

I don’t like words on firearms.
I may have names for some, but when the mind that did, conceptualized these designs they were not thinking of there being the roll marks and warnings, or even model numbers on the side of the thing.

My own Silverback wears it’s moniker in an elegant single word, small and to the bottom left of the left side of the slide. And it wears it completely unnecessarily. Who tattoos their own name on themselves?

Obviously the world does not work this way, but if a rifle is beautiful and custom and expensive, I don’t see why there need be any inscription, mark, blemish or defacement. A man that has a rifle like that knows what it is. And it should have come with brass and a first load write up, as well as a stock matched, fleece lined case and scope cover.

And if it be a pistol, then the time for words has ended...;)

No “Molon Labe” for me.
Graceful arcs, scales, feathers, hard lines, checking and stipple. Polished bluing, satin stainless steel, gorgeous figure and fine grain. Smooth transitions, tool mark-less stone flat surfaces. Preciously, precise radii. The only shape and mass necessary for energy to travel from your mind to across the field, and no more.

Words, just get in the way.:)

I feel like a 22 hunting rifle should be something like “grocery getter” or “dinner bell ringer”.

As almost all of my guns could be sold off in the event of a true emergency where money was a limitation to my survival (medical trauma or emergency surgery) I don’t think writing on them will positively increase their marketability or value.

So no, not for me.
