When I buy my 9mm, it'll be a CZ75.

I've shot enough of 'em to really want one.

Why, the HK P7M8!

It must be tactical since it costs as much as a pre-ban AR15, and you can't get any more tactical than an AR15.

"what is a good modern and tactical 9mm semi-auto?"

How about a long slide Glock 34 (and then throw a good light/lazer combo under it).

If you want the newest handgun labled "Tactical" you could wait for the CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical to come available. Even though most the other CZs would do nearly as good a job but won't be as "Tacticool" ;)

I plan to eventually get one myself.

Get Browning Hi Power. The MkIII model came out in 1988, so it's pretty darn modern if you ask me. As tactical as it gets :D

I'll second and third the Walther P99 suggestion, but you know, all the pistols suggested are fine examples of what you're looking for. Try to find a range that rents them and try them out. Good luck!

for cutting edge, i like the walther 99 with ploymer frame, sriker fired, decocker and interchangable backstraps.

as much as i like my glock 19, i do think of the XD9 as a product improved glock

"Tactical is in the eyes of the beholder and applied (Tactically) in the hands of the user." Wow, where did that thought come from? Since I have them and they both shoot better than I could, I would say CZ 85c and any form of the 75.(I have the BD model). Thinking about saving up for a compact model, PCR, or, PO1. If Clipse could just stop showing pics. of his PO1 , I would probably stop having thoughts of getting another CZ. Ahhh ,who am I kidding? Be good...
