What's your most " Fun Gun"

I own multiple handguns, all different calibers and enjoy them all. But my " Fun Gun " is my Ruger 22/45 Lite MKIV. It's like it was made for my pure enjoyment.
I'd have to agree. This is mine, and is used at steel challenges every week, during spring and summer. Likely the only gun I own to give it a run for it's money in the fun department, is the JBM bullpup below it. DSCN0580.JPG

I practice with a 1911, a S&W 41 & a Mossberg rifle in 22 RF but when I'm finished & ready to have a good time I almost always go for my 44 Mag Vaquero & Marlin 1894. I reload 44 Mag so I can shoot 75 to 100 rounds w/o breaking the bank.

I have to add that my most "Fun Gun" in the revolver category would be my Ruger Vaquero. Just a "blast" to shoot and I love the way the gun rolls up in my hand after I have let off a round! Accurate with both factory ammo and handloads, this gun puts a smile on my time day that I take it to the range!

Downright pretty to look at too!

This firearm is extremely light for its size but is perfectly balanced as well as being very accurate. It feels to me to be the most comfortable revolver I have ever shot. The full grip greatly tames full house .357 magnum loads, but truly shines with .38 spl.

Currently? My Mosin Nagant. Just because everyone else at the local range has ARs and Ivan makes himself known.
Previously, probably the S&W 586. I could shoot my target-load .38s out of it and chew the bullseye out with little more recoil than a .22, all the way up to the .357s a friend's dad loaded for his lever-action.
They were a nice hunting round for that. In the 586, they became a fireworks show.

Fun?
Oh hell, YES!

I recall back in the day when MNs were DIRT cheap - like 70 bucks with tax cheap - but ammo was seriously expensive.
100 rds cost significantly more than the rifle.... IF you could get it.

We would go out to "A Place to Shoot" in Texas and spend a great part of the day banging boiler plate with iron sights and only expend 40-50 rds.

Now, if you can get two GIs to spend the day on only a couple-few dozen rounds - you KNOW that that rifle has to be fun!

Todd.

Whatever gun is in my hand is the funnest.

Trunk Monkey, nah, the 110 is work. Give me a little M 102 and all the 105 ammo I want though....

Indy, that's very nice...what caliber?

Plus you can light a cigarette off the muzzle flash I bet. What's not to like!?!

Looks fun!

What? Nobody has gotten to:

“this is my rifle...
This is my gun...
This is to shoot...
This is for...”

no pictures, please...

Fun comes in many guises. My Walther made 1941 P38 has to be one. It begs to be shot one handed, Colt SAA style. Arm straight out, body turned sideways, aim, pull trigger, rock up, rock down, repeat.

At the other end my little FN 1906 25acp is equally enjoyable. Over 100 years old and still rock solid reliable and fun to shoot. But no arm out single handed for it, rather chest high, two hands, close to body and double tap.

And for a day in the high desert or out in the Superstitions it's hard to beat one of my JP Sauer Hawes Import Colt SAA replicas.

I must say the old Browning designed .25s are maaaddd fun. Kudos on that one.

It's been done before.:fire: I had a couple younger guys approach my lane at the range and ask me what, "What kinda bullet is that?"
"We could feel it in the chest."
I apologized and said, "I really wanted to try this .357 mag leverevolution ammo."

Believe it or not, these cheaply made, but VERY reliable and accurate little 22.cal are nothing but fun for me. Fast point and shoot, also the LCR22 cal followed by the LCR 9mm.. Never thought I would get to be very good with one, but lots of practice really paid off. Love to shoot shotgun hulls as fast as I can with these guns. I like shooting any small barrel pistols and revolvers.
