Hi THR,
I recently had the pleasure of acquiring 2 of the Beretta 81BB's from Classic Firearms and was thinking of putting aftermarket grips on at least one of them (picture is attached).

Initially I was thinking of picking up a pair of Beretta 84 grips from LOK Grips (website link is: https://lokgrips.com/beretta/beretta-84-81) since they market them as thinner than the stock 81 grips and I also have a nice pair for one of my other Berettas, but then I thought I'd see what other folks did with their Beretta 81's and 81BB's regarding grips.

Would anyone like to share their thoughts and/or pictures of Beretta Cheetahs with aftermarket grips? Did you leave the grips stock or change them out for aftermarket, and why?

Thanks - BluesDancer

Here's mine.

The Altamont grips I bought are actually larger than the factory grips, rather than smaller. The help the pistol fit my XXL hands better. I don't recall if they had smaller ones also. I think they cost me around $35 plus a reasonable shipping charge.

here it is! Took a while to find the pic.

Checkered walnut grips are also still available from Beretta, which is how I went.

Schlegel - they look very nice! Wondering about the width though - would you say they are about the same width as the stock grips, slightly more or slightly less?

Altamont grips, mine are checked rosewood with the Beretta medallion. They are fatter then the stock grips, but they look far superior to the stock grips and IMO feel superior too.

I am away right now but I'll try to measure them when I get back in a week. I want to say they are maybe a tiny bit thicker?

With factory wood grips the butt is 1.37 in wide. They don't thin out at the edges as fast as the plastic grips so while the difference is small they do fill the hand a bit more than the plastic ones.
