Need help regarding gun fun in Florida?

Beware of legal troubles. Purchase of firearms has some odd laws both at federal and state levels. I know you cannot legally purchase a handgun except in your state of permanent residence. Long guns are a different animal and from my understanding it seems as though legalities change based upon state laws.

If you buy handguns out of state, they can ship it to an FFL of your choice back home. Lotus gun store in Jensen Florida (2hr) away offered to ship for free when I was fifteen there on vacation.

Great store BTW, not sure if I'd make an extra two hour drive for it though.

Lots of gun stores near New Symrna Beach. This on is not to far and has lots off stuff.

There are so many gun stores that you cant spit without hitting one. Although Smyrna is a fair bit from me there are lots of outdoor activity centers like Cecil B Webb in Punta Gorda where everyone goes, its run by the state. There are so many things to do all year round that it will probably keep you busy just visiting all the main spots your first time. I recommend the drums on the beach. Every town of some size also seems to have at least one indoor range. There are 8 within an hour drive from my house, 2 of which are within 5 miles. Go Jayhawks! Go Chiefs!

Sniper, you are gonna be maybe 4 hours north of Cecil B Webb, which is just So. of Punta Gorda on the other coast... So its a long drive just to shoot... But i would highly recommend the tiki hut for a beer or two in Punta Gorda... all the best and safe travels

That's my go-to for an "anytime gun show." I have done a lot of business there. Of course, I live a lot closer than NSB.
