View attachment 882731 Here's a few of my fun guns, they're English Adam's patent revolvers.
The top one was probably used by the confedracy in the 1860's and is currently non firing. It's a 32 bore cavalry model and it's huge!

I also have a Remington but it was probably too late to make a difference, its from 1863

Those are beautiful, would not mind some closer upper photos of those.. :)

That can easily be arranged, but not at the moment.
I've an even earlier gun thay I bought as a transitional, but it's actually a true revolver.

Fun gun or guns? For me, it can’t just be one.

.22: Mk II Govt Target 6.5”.

Mid bore: I’m preferring the 686+ over the Dan Wesson 15-2 because the Smith is a bit more comfortable for me to shoot.

Big bore: S&W 629 6.5” power port. The Redhawk .41 7.5” is a very, very close second.

Stay safe.

Thats nice, were any of these guys Model gun or Air Soft fans. ??? The guys over in Japan may be restricted from real guns.. But they have the greatest realistic toy guns in the world.

...no none of them were...

Browning Medalists. A joy to shoot. Every time I let someone shoot them at the range, they out-shoot their own guns with them. Especially the one with the target grip. There's something about the design of the grip that tends to improve accuracy vs. standard grips.

I owned one for many years. Highly accurate.
A Buckmark by comparison is a Saturday night special.

I'm going to go Colt Woodsman on this one. It's a tack driver and just a lot of fun to shoot.

I tend to agree. In rifle terms, it's kind if like a pre-64 Model 70 compared to a Ruger American Rifle. The Buck Mark and the RAR are good guns, but there is a huge, satisfying difference between those and the old-school guns that were built with a level of craftsmanship and quality that is missing from most modern guns. My Buck Mark is probably 80% as accurate as the Medalist, but there is a big difference in the guns in use. I enjoy shooting and handling the Medalist about 80% more. :)

Love those Browning Medalists! I could see where those target grips could provide for a really solid and steady grip on the gun.

I started out doing bullseye shooting at an indoor range. The Medallist could hold its own with the S&W 41 and High Standard Victors of the day.
The target grips were a holdover from Olympic class target shooting I think, and they did indeed greatly affect the offhand target accuracy possible. Browning produced an International Medallist as well with reduced size grips to comply with international standard for competition. They used the finest Circassian walnut for the stock. The best gunstock walnut available.

My #1 has got to be my 460 S&W Magnum. It is great fun, but only for a little while.

Very possibly a tie for 2nd between my German P229 in 40 S&W/357 Sig and my 10mm Kimber.

4th is likely the G20 with the 9X25 Dillon barrel. Also, a great deal of fun, but only for a little while!

My favorite fun gun has to be my Ruger Bearcat. It's a little jewel with rosewood grips and it locks up like a Swiss watch. All-steel (except the ejector rod housing), made to the highest standards, roll-engraved, and accurate. I have owned two Single Sixes which I also liked, but while they have gone the Bearcat remains.
I really enjoy plinking with it alongside my 10-22.
I know that I will get another single Six though, and it will be a forever gun.
At this point forever being no more than 15 or so years.

Ruger MKIII hunter. Updated w various Volquartsen parts and a Burris red dot sight.
