Saw one of these the other day at my local shop. Held it and seemed nice. Polymer frame, adjustable sights. Thinking about getting something just for fun range use. Anyone have any experience with these? Think it was a little over $600.

I've ran a couple of boxes of ammo through a 9mm. I was pretty happy with it.....till I got my Canik.

You can get a Canik TP9SF ONE series for under $300, add a Freedomsmith trigger $70, and a spring kit from Galloway $20, buy a couple of extra mags $70, now spend the rest on ammo.

You'll have a much better pistol with the Canik. The trigger out of the box was the equal of the Witness.

Both my Canik pistols are extremely accurate. I shoot my SFX in defensive pistol matches at my club. I'm old, fat, and crippled. I'll never be fast, but I'm shooting 70-80% of our stages with no points down.

The all steel Match is a very accurate and well fitted pistol. I don't think the P version will be different. It is designed for IPSC competitions I think. All the Tanfoglios I shot, steel or polymer, have been nice, accurate and reliable. I can't comment on the price.

I have a metal frame 45acp Witness and a poly frame 380 Pavona and like them both. The 45acp was bought used and was imported in 1992.

For a while, several years back, Witness had some problems with their customer service. I think that has been resolved.

I've had a number of Tanfoglio-made Witnesses over the years, and they've all be good guns. (I've had both the small frame models and the large frame guns, including two Witness Sport Long Slide models (older versions of their current top-line models), one in .40 and the other in .40. Great guns. I just got the urge for something else.

I would note that GunBroker has a bunch of the same polymer Match you describe selling for $529... But when you figure in shipping from the seller and an FFL fee, that's not really much different than what you'd pay at the local gun shop. You MIGHT have a little wiggle/haggle room if the price is around $600.

Or just watch for a used one on gun broker. The guns are pretty reliable.
