New Subcompact from Wilson Combat

The X9 was on my short list, but I think this X9S just replaced it.

Small, SAO, double stack. Can't think of anything else that offers this.

Closest is the small single stacks (938, Kimber Micro 9, etc) or the Rami.

I was just watching their video on it. I have the EDC X9 and it was worth selling the guns I did to pay for it. I’ve already been figuring out what guns I can sell to buy this one.

Looks like a baseplate swap gets you the 15 round mag, pretty smart

4.5 inches overall height means a two finger grip. I'm out.

It does come with both the longer 15 round mag as well, would put the height probably 5.1" ish but is still pretty thin.

If I were ever to get this thing, I envision mostly carrying it with the extension like I do with my Glock 26 and a +2 baseplate.

Wilson Combat produces very refined stuff - lots of bench time wrapped up in the cost. I own a CQB and a Recon - you can see where the money/ time went. I would like to have more of their models but they tie up a lot of money. This model will be superb I am sure.

Cute, but not my speed. If I had the coin for a WC pistol, they have much more interesting stuff.

Cool little gun but I think I’ll stick with my P30SK. No money for something like that. Maybe some day.

It kind of makes me wonder if DW will come out with an equivalent DWX sized model in a year or two.

Neat gun.

Might be the perspective and I know it has a short barrel but DAMN.... those sights look aligned to seriously nose-high that pistol.

I'd sure like to handle it to see if the width does not conflict with the concept of the shortening in both height and length.

I've always found my Glock 30 to be an odd-duck in that regard.

Todd.

Base price of $2695 rules it out as a carry gun for me.
Subcompact rules it out as a range toy also.

Pretty little pistol with some great design features, and no doubt a great shooter, but nothing that would entice me to part with that many dead presidents.

If I was going that route (SAO 9mm carry gun), for a good bit less I'd take a hard look at the CZ DWX.

Dave

Not really the same size as this subcompact but yes, I agree. I'm very interested in the DWX compact, only a bit leery that the grip ergos are CZ Compact I think, which do not fit my hands well.

And the flat trigger is butt ugly.

One of our LGS' may be getting one in next week. I'd have to sell 3 guns I really like, a S&W Mountain Gun and a Dan Wesson Guardian and Eco, both in 9mm to pay for the XD9S. Based on the drop in prices my other guns aren't worth nearly enough to pay for it. I'll wait until I can see one in person to decide.

My friend has the x9 EDC great pistol,...but,...the price overwhelms me....I'm rough on my daily carry and range weapons and I'd be sick to spend that kinda money and scratch it or make it a safe only pistol......I like shooting what I own....for the Wilson price I can buy a couple other brands and styles and have beer money leftover
