Help me decide on which handguns to keep

Oh also there's a
Smith and Wesson 15-3 38 special
Smith and Wesson 14-2 38 special
Smith and Wesson Model 3(I think)
and a safety hammer less

Not really interested in these as the first 2 seem redundant with what I already have and the second 2 are less for shooting and more for collecting.

But again, I might be crazy so let me know.

Thanks again

One of my most enjoyable range guns is a S&W DA Model 4 in 38S&W. An absolute joy to shoot.

You must take:
Smith & Wesson Model 28 -
Smith & Wesson 4506 -

You mention a Ruger Blackhawk .357, 3 screw model. I was looking for one of those few months ago. You should consider yourself lucky to have one of those, I'd take that but if you don't like single actions all that much, then don't do it. 3-screw Rugers are best when they're appreciated.

Todd I always enjoy your posts but in this case I can only say you owe it to yourself to try a Rossi 720 sometime if you haven't already.
I've run through couple few Rossis and sure do appreciate them though I'd *generally* think it's a given that an old Smith is the keeper of the two.

That said - Due to your post I looked up what exactly a 720 is and confess - I didn't actually know - I was lumping it into my Rossi interpretation pile.

That monster is pretty cool.

Anything that starts with a .4 that doesn't end in a *0* is worth a second look to me.

Todd.

Due to unfortunate circumstances(death

Here is what I have already decided on
  • Colt trooper 38 special
  • Smith and Wesson Model 10-8 stainless
  • Smith and Wesson model 686 stainless
  • H&R Sportsman 22(really just like the idea of this gun)
  • Springfield 1911-A1

I need to pick 5 more from the list below
  • Ruger Mark 2
  • Smith and Wesson 357 highway Model 28-2
  • Smith and Wesson 4506-1(pristine condition)
  • Smith and Wesson 539
  • Sistema Colt (trigger is not original, maybe other stuff replaced as well)
Here would be my choices.

I

Take the
S&W Model 28 - unbreakable classic .357
Rossi 720 3" .44 Special cult classic
S&W Model 15-3 (4") or 14-3 (6"), whichever feels better in your hand - these were premiere revolvers hard to beat in any era.

H&R Sportsman is a cool lookiing revolver , but poorly fitted and made. Gone
Tanfoglio - not interested in the caliber. Gone
Keeping a Rossi while letting go of Smith and Wesson? No. Gone

I worked from your original list.
