On my way home today I got a call from my favorite pawn shop , BJ Pawn & Gun, to let me know that my Trump AR lower was in.
So I stopped by to pick it up. I shot the bull with the owner a little and he told me that he had two Glock 44’s in.
I had a look and boy was it light, but it felt good in my hand. The sticker price was $369.99.
I got to thinking. I almost pulled the trigger this morning on a aftermarket Glock slide and barrel but for some reason I didn’t. Then I saw that PSA was coming out with their Glock type pistol, the PS9 Dagger. I told myself that I’ll just buy a PS9 instead of buying the parts to build another Polymer 80.
So there I was holding the Glock 44 and was trying to make up my mind if I really wanted to buy one. That’s when the owner said that he was not going to charge me a transfer fee on the Trump lower. Well, that did it. I said I would take the Glock 44. Like I alway say, “Its just money “.
So here it is.

I do like the fact that they didn’t put the cutout at the front of the grip because, my little finger sits right on it on the Gen 5 Glock and it bugs the S@#% out of me.
I’m going to bring it to work with me tomorrow and put a few rounds through it.
Oh! If you’re thinking about getting one, you better call your Glock dealer now. Glock is shipping two to all their dealers. Once that is done the will be shipping orders out to their top end dealers first.

Oh Gunny, you've done it again!

First on the block with another cool "toy"!

Eagerly awaiting your range report and assessment.

That Gun is very cool! Keep us updated! :)

Congrats Gunny! I'm kinda jealous since I have the cash sitting here and waiting anxiously for January 20th so I could go to my LGS and pick one up. Turns out the owner seems to have dropped the ball on this one. I have no idea when it is going to show up. Meanwhile, they have two PMR-30's. If I have to wait much longer, one of those may come home with me instead to keep the CMR-30 company.

Ha, so weird. Just saw a YouTube video on this gun today. Didn't realize Glock made a .22lr.

I have no need for one but perhaps when my kids get old enough to shoot. Gotta start on the SAA .22 first though.

I got to handle one for the first time yesterday, and it seemed pretty nifty. I won't be selling my .22s to buy one, but I won't be turning down any invitations to shoot one, either. I hear the LGS is selling them as fast as they can get them.

Congratulations, Gunny!

If your LGS is not a Glock Stocking Dealer, then it will be some time before they can get the 44s in.
All GSD are supposed to get two guns. After that the orders from their top end dealers will be filled first. My dealer is not a top end dealer and is not sure when he will be able to get more in.
Check the Police Supply shops in your area. If one of them are a top end dealer, you will have a better chance of getting one sooner.

I was going to shoot it when I got to work at 04:30 this morning, but I have a good bit of work that has to be done first. So stand by, rounds will be going down range today.

That's how I buy guns too. Hey look $25 (whatever amount) I wasn't counting on saving! Ok I'll take that $400 gun!:D

The bad thing is, I was picking up an AR lower that I ordered about two weeks ago, I spent $438 on ammo already this week and my son was coming by the house latter yesterday so that I could order the parts to fix his car. Which ended up being just over $1000.
But hell, if I don’t spend it, someone else will when I’m gone, and I have no plans to leave a bunch of money for other people to blow when I’m gone.
I’m having fun. :)

Food is overrated.

Some lucky people get to merge hobbies into their work place. Some people work in candy factories, or breweries. What other line of work lets you fire off a few rounds at work??? :) Gunny! you the man.

ha ha ha

I need to send the Still your President pic to my Liberal friends..

I placed a deposit on one of these last month and got a call yesterday afternoon that they were in.

An hour later, Im about $800 and a Glock 30S poorer, and have a Glock 44, and a "nice" SIG P226 MK25. The boy knows how to play me. :)

I got back from trying them out a little while ago, and, at first blush, I think Glock is going to do OK with these. Fun little guns and seem to work as advertised.

The gun comes with 2 10 round mags. Sounds like spares are going to be a bit salty, and around $30ea. At least thats what hes charging where I got it (they werent in yet). He also had a few factory threaded barrels, and they are really salty, at around $200. Think Ill wait till things settle down.

I put about 600 rounds of a couple of different makes of .22's through it, and other than a couple of ammo related issues with some 25-year-old Winchesters, it never skipped a beat.

The bulk of what I shot was some of the cheap CCI Blazer's I got recently, some CCI Stingers, CCI AR Tactical, and the Winchester Super X.

The Winchesters have been around since the mid 90's, and Ive had some issue with them with other things too. The few other times its happened of late, it was mostly squib like rounds and/or light stirkes or dead strikes. Today, it was the squib type, and I had to check the barrel both times. Both of those were fail to extracts.

Other than that, the gun ran 100%, and didnt care what the ammo was.

It was weird shooting a Glock with no recoil, and it felt more like I was shooting an airsoft gun than a 22.

The recoil muzzle blast was a bit more noticeable with the Stingers and Tactical, and the ejected brass with them was about double the distance away as the Blazers.

These are the first couple of targets I shot. The top were shot at around 15 yards, and the bottom, at around 7 yards. Then 7 yard target is probably a better indication as to what the gun can do when you can see things clearly. :)

15 yard bullseye targets are a bit of a challenge for me anymore, especially with a zero hold.

10-15 yards shooting at pieces of broken clay birds was a lot of fun too.

These were roughly 10 yard double and triple taps on from a low ready.

Oh, and the SIG did OK too. :D:

Well, a few coworkers and I put 130 rounds through the 44. And just like AK 103K said, there was almost no noticeable recoil, like shooting an air soft gun.
We only have about 5 yards to shoot, but it was fun.
All groups were 10 shots. Some were rapid, some slow. We picked on each other for jerking the trigger and had fun.
This was my first group.

Most of what we shot was from an old box of Federal Auto Match.
There was only one dud round.
The three wound ladies that shot the gun really liked it.

Neat Glock and neater lower.

FWIW Glock seems to have dropped the cutout and added front serrations on their base Gen 5 models now.

Both good things I think, I don't love the serrations but with how slick the Gen 5 finish is I feel I kinda need em on my 19

Yeah, they are a Glock stocking dealer. I kinda get the idea that in order to receive their two Glock 44’s they had to order them in the first place and it is looking like he didn’t. The owner had told people that he did order them but he is at Shot Show and the employees there haven’t seen them yet. The only reason I haven’t gone elsewhere is I get a good deal on everything at this place. Theoretically.

Im not sure how many the shop I deal with got, but I think it was more than just two.

He told me I was three or four in the queue of those who pre ordered, and there was someone else there picking one up when I was there.

Hes also currently got one listed on his web page for sale, and hes pretty good about keeping that current, so it looks likes he might have got a bunch.

I stopped in at the large police supply in town today to look at the 43X with the black slide. Happen to run into my friend that is the Marshal in the parish I live in. He was picking up a Glock 44. He had pre ordered it. The police supply is a top end Glock dealer and they said that they got in a few of the 44, but wouldn’t say how many.
I stopped in at one of the pawn shops that I frequent, on my way home, and showed the owner my 44. He checked to see if any were available and found that right now all 44, at his distributors are allocated.
One of the other girls at work wanted to shoot my 44 after lunch. So I loaded up the two mags and let her try it out. She loved it. The first thing she said was “Wow! There’s like no recoil “. She’s about 5’1” and around 100lbs. She said that she was going to get her husband to get her one.
