Weird Bruise

Older I get, easier it is the get those little ruptured blood vessels.
wife says, “what have you done to yourself now?:what:
I says, “Don’t have a clue!”

No pain, no tenderness, no swelling, no tingling, no numbness. I just cleaned the two guns I used today and loaded some snap caps in and have been doing some dry fire practice. Everything is normal except for the discoloration.

could be a rash rather than a bruise if there is no soreness

Definitely not a rash. Multi color discoloration as in a bruise. Anyway, it is fading quickly and is almost gone. Still haven't figured out what caused it...it was just odd that it showed itself just after a shooting session, hence my thought that shooting may have caused it. I'll be keeping a watchful eye on all my appendages when I go shooting next.

I would head to the ER.
My past experiences with the ER says this is bad advice. Walk in, take a number and sit down. Wait 2-4 hours before going to be evaluated. During flu season this is risky. Add another 2+ hours for tests, then wait for an intern to tell you what little they know. You have then wasted several hours, thousands of dollars, and will leave in worse health than how you entered. I now won't go to the ER without a ride in the meat wagon.

WheelGunMan, my first thought is that you have suffered a ruptured capillary vessel, aggravated by your aging body. Since you have not experienced pain, and with the fact that the coloring is disappearing, you are recovering nicely. If the condition returns after your next range session you need to make some changes. Otherwise, put 2 extra bullets in your pocket and don't tell Sheriff Taylor. He might get upset.

Around here we have Aurora Walk-in clinics everywhere, all connected and can call and get current wait times. Then there are also the Urgent Care Units scattered about. If I'm going to the ER it is either after 10pm or I'm arriving by Ambulance! My biggest complaint with Ambulance is that the very 1st thing they always want to do is stick an IV in.
