Jay Henges Range in MO

Has anyone heard any updates on the chances of this range opening back up? It has been closed since 2017 for bullet trap repairs. It is really a nice little range easy accessible to those on the south side of St. Louis, so it would be nice to see it open back up this spring.

The state's site hasn't had an update since February, but I thought I would see if anyone here had heard any rumors.

Agreed, but they completely re-did Busch, I think they are just rebuilding the bullet trap at Henges. I like Busch, it is just a bit of a haul for us south county folks. It has been closed for like two and a half years, and it has been a long time since an update that I've seen. Unfortunately I am guessing that isn't a good sign ...

Both are definitely regimented, which can be annoying. But I would take regimented to some of the unsafe stuff I have heard about at the unsupervised ranges. I don't have access to a private range, but that would definitely be the way to go.

Thanks very much for that offer Barman. With other obligations demanding a lot of my time at the moment, unfortunately I don't think I would be able to make good use of a membership at the moment.

I looked at the website for the club up there, and it looks like a good one. Hopefully once my son gets to the age where he can start shooting, a membership will be a better possibility and I will definitely keep that club and your offer in mind.
