What are the best web sites to determine the current market prices on MGs and SMGs? I'm Interested in what stuff is selling for these days, for transferable, pre-86 DS and post-86 DS guns. Thanks!

There's been a general leveling off of prices. I think potential buyers are holding off, waiting to see if ATF processing times improve, etc. Prices went up so fast for so long, that the market is pausing to reassess.

The parent site of Subguns was changed to something having to do with Gunspot. That change made the site unusable to me, and apparently to a lot of others. There were complaints. The good news is that the old address is up and running again. However, if you now go to Subguns and click on the listings sections, you still get taken over to Gunspot. This is very confusing.

For what it's worth, prices appear to be down. A Group Industries Uzi I was watching went for just over $10K on GunBroker. A year ago, it would have fetched $12K easily. OTOH, it is the holidays, people are a bit short on cash after Christmas shopping. The highest prices seem to be in the early Spring, when people get tax refund checks.

Personally I look at completed Gunbroker auctions because that is the platform I would be selling on if it weren't locally. Gunbroker has low fees (around 3%) where brick and mortar auction companies charge 10%-20% seller premium on top of a buyer premium cutting into the overall value.
