Sig 365 or Springfield Hell cat?

I shot 50 rounds through both before I picked mine. At 7-10 yards accuracy for me was pretty similar with both guns. Beyond 10 yards, the better trigger on the 365 gave me consistently better accuracy. Both pistols are nice, I decided to go with the 365.

I really dislike striker fired handguns but when I saw the P365 with a thumb safety I thought I'd give it a try.
So far I consider it a winner only wish the XL model came so equipped.

Loved the hellcat ergos, butI wound up keeping the 365. Really just shot better, trigger recoil and accuracy. Wish the 365 was a tad bigger as the hellcat just fit better, didn’t slip around as much and overall better grip.

Have you considered buying an XL grip module? It's not expensive.

When the Sig 365 came out I had to have one so I purchased one and liked it very much..Since then
I purchased a 365 SAS which I like even better especially CC..it slips into my pocket and there is
nothing on the gun to get hung up..there's nothing better I know of.. A fellow I know purchased a hellcat and likes
it...So I got a chance to shoot it for about 30 rounds..I think my Sig shoots a bit better for me and fits my hand
better and since I have a Sig X5 and X compact the 365's just fit in...Plus if you need even more rounds Sig
has 12 and 15 rounders....it was a no brainer for me.

Of coarse I'm a bit against Springfield for problems with a 1911 years back that never got resolved but that's another
boring story...

Will the 365 trigger for in the XL frame? I handled a XL the other day and did not like the trigger when compared to my 365.
You just move the whole fire control group into the new grip module, it's just an empty polymer shell for the gun. No new trigger. It isn't hard to do, either, just push one pin out.

Brought the P365 home and lubed it up for the range. Will take it out tomorrow for a work out with 115 grain FMJ, JHP, some 124gr Sig ammo along with 147gr Federal JHP and see how it performs.

Ended up getting a 12 round mag for $32 OTD. The BX had them for $52 which was a bit too much based on whats out in the web but I had a $20 gift card for past purchases and decided to use that towards the mag.

Will most likely be a pocket carry during hot weather or as a BU to the full size during cold weather. Have a long way to go on the range before I put it in the 'ready to carry' category.

Excellent choice, Lennyjoe. I look forward to a range report.

I have both, only bought the hellcat because I wanted to run a sig Romeo zero red dot on it
(Ordered the red dot a month ago and just got notice this am it’s shipping).

If I were going to run as out of the box, I’d definitely prefer the p365....I really don’t see much of anything that could be improved on it
other than wish they’d offer a regular sized slide (not xl) with optic cut out like the hellcat has

I shoot it better, fits my hand better and it has a better trigger...plus I’ve become a big sig fan (have always liked xdm’s as well...still have a 9 and a 10mm).

Just got back from the range.

All I have to say is that I’m extremely impressed with this gun. Ran 200 rounds of 115 gr RMR FMJ over Longshot and it was just as accurate as my G19. The trigger and recoil on this little gun is perfect for its size.

I also ran 20 rounds of Sig 124 gr JHP and Federal 147 gr HST. The HST grouped best of the two and zero failure to feed. That’s fine for me because I’m running the HST out of my G19, G43X and Taurus G2C.

Bottom line, this is gonna be the pocket 9 I’ve been looking for since I sold the Kel Tek PF9.

Mine should be in on Monday. I have a few different loads left over from trying to find the most accurate match load for my G19 as well as a variety of factory loads, so I have a long range session in my future next week.

I bought a Sig p365.

Then handled the Springfield.

Then bought a Sig p365 SAS.
