If you had an "extra" 1K, what gun would you buy?

Repairs for the wife's Jeep. I wish that was a smartass comment, but it's reality. I'd been putting money aside for a retro AR build and was about to start ordering parts when the wife's Jeep broke down.

Sigh....
J.E.E.P. Just Empty Every Pocket. I decided a while ago that if I wanted to keep hunting and playing with guns I had to give up jeeps. I only have one as a tinkering project now..

I seriously considered an older Jeep (CJ-5/AMC or CJ-2A/Willys) for hunting/work around the property. I ended up with a Polaris Ranger 900. Higher HP:Weight ratio, easier to trailer, less maintenance (knock on wood), cheaper to buy. Still thinking about putting a wire cutter on the front, though.

Google “German police at Frankfurt Airport MP5”. You see the pretty blond fox holding the MP5? With $1,000 I might use that as initial savings for buying a quality semi-auto version.

That Bundespolizei (Federal Police) —Babe— gives that gun So much glamorous appeal.

I would like a Garand in the 1943 or 1944 vintage, parts correct, any flavor, to go with my late 1943 Rem Rand 1911A1. At least with a $1000 I could buy half……

I own a lot of fiery-arms already,,,
I truly have all my regular wants and needs well covered.

$1,000.00 will not buy the last gun in my Bucket List,,,
That would take a bit over $3,000.00 to buy.

That would be a S&W Model 45,,,
The .22 LR "Postal" model.

I have a nice collection of matching centerfire/rimfire pairs,,,
That plain Jane K-frame revolver would cap my collection very nicely.

Aarond

Mare's leg in .357 or .45 from Henry. None of that wimpy .22 for me. The Henry's brass receiver rocks.

Hmm, if only the grand, would be a toss-up on either an original P210 or a WWII Service/Rack grade Garand.

Now, if an "extra" grand to boost buying power, that gets a bit easier. First inclination would be towards a nice Select or Correct Garde Garand. A Brownell's WWSD carbine would be on the list. Along with one of the advanced classes at Thunder Ranch or the like.

In no particular order:

Saiga 7.62x39 wood properly converted furniture

WASR 10 and have some $$$ left over for goodies

Marlin 1895 SBL (Jurassic World build)

Colt AR

There are a few things that I've wanted.

I've always wanted a Beretta 92/M9 to go with my CX4, so a grand would get.me a 92X or M9/A3.

Or, With a little over a grand I could get an AR15 (I still don't have one) and a 357 mag revolver to pair with my 1894.

Guns are going on the back burner for the next few months.
I'm doing a bit of prepping, thanks to China's little gift to the (Democrats)... .
Sorry, had to do it. I've been thinking about upping my emergency preparedness game. I have enough G&A that I could probably shift some of my focus toward other items without being to upset about it. I dont know about others but I leave the money and finances to the wife and dont buy anything, but when I do get a lil "extra" I always spend it on G&A. I will occasionally get fixated on something and if my wife sees me looking or talking about it enough she usually just tells me to buy it....
