Hey guys, looking for recommendations on a small pistol range bag. Something that I can put 1 or 2 pistols in, 6 or 7 mags, and ear pro that I can quickly grab and be ready. I already have a full size range bag loaded out with everything I might need, but now I’d like a small bag that’s just grab and go for a quick range session with only 1 or 2 pistols. Any recommendations?

The Midway bags are good. I've used one for years. It has removable pistol pouches inside. Look for the range bags with a shoulder strap and side pouches, especially if you shoot 200 or more.
If your shooting 50 small is OK. Most indoors around here allow 1 hr. 200 shots easy.

You might want to consider repurposing some other kind of bag. Lots of tool bags out there that might work for you or small book bags if you wanted a backpack style. If you wanted a bargain thrift shops have all kinds of sturdy bags you can pickup cheap that don't scream "I have a gun".

I prefer laptop bags, both the rolling sort and the shoulder-strap sort. If you have access to a dumpster behind your office, they're generally free.

I think that's a pretty cost efficient idea. However, it's probably also a reason why so many people end up with a gun in their bag in the TSA line at the airport.

If guns only go in "gun bags" you can often save yourself some potential problems.

I have the midway bag it's a good bag for a Day at the Range but I needed a smaller bag just for 2 pistols some Ammo and muffs small stuff just for a hour at the range I got this bag and love it

I have this same bag, but it's from Academy. It was less expensive but essentially the same bag. It's rather large and can hold 4 pistols and enough ammo and everything I need to shoot for hours, BUT be aware that it's pretty heavy when loaded up.
I have a Midway range bag also.

If I'm going for just pistol it holds ammo, mags, ear pro, and 2-3 pistols no problem. Plenty of pockets, and I've had it for several years. Use the same bag minus pistols for rifle range. I typically have a separate case/bag for optics.

I use inexpensive gatemouth tool bags of the sort you can get from lowes or northern tool. Some of them have lots of pockets, and they generally hold about what is described in the original post.

I've had this bag for over ten years. One of the best shooting-related purchases I've ever made.

I wanted to build a a range box like the ones the bullseye shooters because aside from being very convenient I like the spotting scope attachment on the lid of the box. I figured it would take me a while to build it if it was go9ing to turn out nice so in the meantime to get by I bought a sturdy plastic tool box at Home Depot for less than $10. I have now been using it for over three years & it fits three to four good sized pistols, ammo, targets, tools, scope & scope mount tripod w/o a problem. It is one of the best investments Ive ever made. .
