...and not sure what to do with it. What would you build next? And what parts would you use?

I've been really curious about a proof research barrel, so since we are spending your money for you, I'd go with a proof research barrel in as long as they make for 223 and a fortis 16" night rail.

LOL @GunnyUSMC

lot of solid options right there.

Me, the last part I need is the upper reciever.

I am building a 500 yard AR for coyotes and went with:
Rainier Arms Mountain Series Cold Hammer Forged Barrel, midweight 18" barrel (was on super sale)
Odin works adjustable gas block
Odin works handguard (won at a match)
Odin works rifle gas tube
Kinetitec muzzle brake with sleeve

I do need a scope and a bolt carrier too.

Get yourself a Fail zero BCG.

I wouldn’t use it if it’s not chrome lined...

I would get a chrome lined upper receiver,

Does it have to be lines? I was always more partial to graceful curves...:)

Okay, done ribbin’ ya.
What have you already? Looking for something new, or looking for something better? What size is the hole in the end of your biggest AR now?
Are you looking for a bullet hose or a precise bullet placer?
Are you building a lower for it or will it have to work with a previously owned one?
How far do you plan on shooting it? At what?
How far do you plan on lugging it? What is a good weight to aim for?
Price?
Anything that is a definitive "No Go”, like the Legend or another danged x39?
What don’t you have yet?
A pistol? Sidefolder? Piston? Adjustable bolt carrier gas? Glass longer than your rail?...
Do you have a red one? Or maybe a nice Oaken Brown?

Man, the possibilities are endless! It’s like a new sheet of paper, sometimes it’s hard to make the first stroke of paint! Maybe just keep it around for inspiration...:)

If it were mine, I would make it a 5.56 pistol to go on the lower for my Blackout pistol.

I just finished a 6.5 grendel and it looks good 24"ss barrel now waiting on the weather to dry out so we can get to our range. I've been looking closely at 450bm and 458 socom for my next build wanting something with a thump.

Gunny authorized use of other than manganese phosphate on my builds, heck he encouraged it, so I’ve been dipping a toe or two with a few since then. Started with Strike Industries then branched off to Phase 5 Weapon Systems with some Magpul and ERGO mixed in. Once you witness the Gunny’s Pallet of Pain you cannot unsee it. My recommendation; build something that’s fun in your book.

I've been wanting an upper for pig hunting that hits hard in an sbr. I've got a 16" grendel and a 9" blackout and keep looking at things like the 277 wolverine, 6.8 spc, 300 hammer, 350 legend, 358 yeti....

I really like my 277 Wolverine. It’s already taken one hog.
