Howdy

Very nice. Don't forget, with an old Three Screw, half cock to load, load one, skip one, load four more, full cock then lower the hammer on an empty chamber. Just like a Colt.

Agree completely. Never have trusted the safety notch on the old three screws. Always carry it with the hammer down on an empty chamber.

Darn nice find at a decent price. I like the grips and the barrel length. In that condition, I would have snapped it up. You can never have too many Blackhawks.

Congratulations! They are ridiculously good shooters.

My SB three screw is my favorite centerfire handgun out of many. At 15 yards and one second per shot, it gives me groups half the size of my best semiautomatic service pistols.

My LGS has three OM's.
A Super and two reg.
Think 650 for the reg and 850 on the Super.
Consignment.
Guess that's the going rate.
Sold my last 3 screw SBH for 600. Mint, 80 prefix.
Wasn't that long ago, or so I thought LOL

They are nice rigs.
Congrats on the score.

My dad had an RCA TV w remote.
Years ago.
One of his OM's would change the channel when you cocked it.
We used that for a couple of days LOL

Stopped by my LGS this afternoon and found his beautiful old 3 screw Blackhawk in .357. $658 out the door for one of these in good condition is not a bad price. This one is in 98% condition. Those are A-Jax stag grips in like new condition. Couldn’t resist!
Sure like that gun , even got a work bench that pretty much looks like yours, Sharpie and all .....Take care and good luck

Thanks. I know what you mean about the workbench. If I cleaned it up I wouldn’t be able to find a darn thing!

Nice 3 screw Blackhawk and in great shape too! The Ajax grips look pretty good as well. Picked up my Blackhawk at a gun show some years back. Cleaned up fairly nice and I love the way it sounds every time I pull back on the hammer!

Nice looking revolver. I know what you mean about the way it sounds when it’s cocked. Nothing sounds like a 3 screw Ruger...not even a Colt.

I just found myself cruising G.B. looking at 3 screw Rugers. Dang you guys......

I know what you mean. The people on GB are pretty proud of the OM Rugers. My LGS sells mostly tactical stuff. Occasionally finds himself having to take something like this in a trade. Doesn’t like to keep them around for very long. Doesn’t pay all that much for them and just wants to move them. About two months ago. I picked up a like new Marlin (actually Remlin) 336 with a 16” barrel and a caliber specific Cabelas scope...$400 out the door. He knows I like this stuff. I’ve been a customer for nearly 20 years, so he always makes me a deal because he knows I’ll be back. He will also give me a call if he has something he knows I would like. Over the years he’s become a friend.

It's always nice to have friends in the gun business! Use to have a buddy of mine that I went through school with working behind the counter at a LGS. He would set things aside for me so that when I came in he would go in the back and bring them out so I had first pick before it hit the display case.

Got a great deal on several like new guns, especially this S&W Model 34 which I got for my wife.

Very nice. Had a Model 35 22/32 Target years ago. Could kick myself for trading it away. I’ve got a mint condition model 63 that I’m gonna hold on to.
