i have two, depending on what i'm doing. for pistols and carbines, i have a
https://lapolicegear.com/lapg-opera...6yoToLtJBRBEFUzhlnCxqFm05cWskdrQaAm43EALw_wcB bag that they sent as a "free" gift when i bought a bunch of other crap. surprisingly, it's lasted more than ten years carrying a lot of weight and still looks practically new. very impressed (might not be the exact one in the link as they may have changed since i got mine). it contains two 30cal ammo cans (one full of pistol, and the other either 556 or 300blk), plus ear pro, some paper targets, a small cardboard box for spent brass, and zippered pockets in the lid for pasters, shot timer, and some misc spare parts. it's a total mess
the other one i an eberlestock lodrag backpack which i use for precision rifle because i often walk a long way to shoot rifles. in the bottom, it has a borka tool kit with torque wrench like the one pictured, except mine is in a red metal case, and i added some other tools including a folding cleaning rod for emergencies
a shemagh, which is invaluable, knee pads, medical kit (mostly blowout with a bit of sunscreen/bugspray etc). in the top, it has ammo, admin kit (sharpies, note cards, velcro, lamination, zip ties, grease pencils, and my custom wrist coach cards, etc), bipod extensions, plus room for hydration bladders. it has a scabbard for carrying a rifle, but usually i put rain or cold weather gear in the scabbard and just throw the rifle over my shoulder.
on the outside, i have pouches for laser range finders, kestrel, eye pro, and mini cyalume sticks. at one point, it looked like this, but i removed the pouch for the water bottle and suppressor.
so it looks more like this (from the top, laying down)
