Good for them - and us.

Aside from convenient co-location, the reason for attaching my solitaire to my favorite SAK decades ago was to open it one-handed while holding the tether in my teeth.

Back in the day of C-Rations the can opener was opened one handed many, many times as well.

The OP knife might be my first new SAK purchase in decades.

I've handled one--it's a nice knife. At about 4 and a half inches long closed and a little over a third of a pound in weight, it's bigger and heavier in person than I expected it to be.

It's a liner lock and the unlocking mechanism is kind of neat. The owner, who let me handle it, couldn't figure out the proper way to unlock the blade to close it.

Aha... Hence the 111mm moniker.

It'll be interesting to hold one and see if I want one that is around 3/4 inch longer than what I'm used to in a SAK.

I've got 2 111mm models. My favorite is the non-one hand Fireman.

The biggies are real workhorses. I've had my Fireman about 15 years, and it's still going strong. The trick to the lock is that it's "back'ards". You push it the other direction, but it's a very sound liner lock for sure.
