Hey y'all, I picked myself up an m1895 Nagant last week, mfg in 1944. Naturally I want to shoot it, and handloading is a much more economic choice. I have seen many people using 30 Carbine dies for this cartridge with success, but I was wondering if 32 ACP dies would work as well. I have an FN1922 in 32 ACP, so having the same dies for two of my guns would be sweet. I have brass and a shell holder. If anyone has some good full power loads with Red Dot they'd like to share that would be great as well. Thanks!

32 auto is straight wall semi-rimmed. 30 carbine is tapered and rimless. I can’t imagine either one really being appropriate, but if there are reports of 30 carbine working then that is the route I would go first. For obscure stuff like what your considering, I always find case dimension drawings and compare numbers.

Might want to check Midway or the other usual suspects for price and availibility but the correct dies at that price will make your life much easier. As a bonus they come with some load data. I havent seen any using RedDot anywhere though.

I've heard of people shooting .32 Long out of them, though I never tried it with mine. .32 Long is pretty easy to reload for, and dies are available.
