I have 4 AR15s I need to get rid of. I am hoping prices go up so I can get a grand out of each one.
You sound like an unabashed capitalist castile. Good. I like unabashed capitalism.
However, as far as the subject of "ammo selling out fast" goes, my wife and I witnessed something pretty darned funny at Cabela's/Bass Pro in Idaho Falls last Saturday. We drove all the way up there (about 80 miles) because I wanted to look at a Glock 19 for myself. When we got there, we noticed the parking lot was almost full. I thought, "Oh, Boy! Everyone's stocking up on guns and ammo, and the firearms and ammo department is going to be a mess."
It was, but not for the reason I was thinking. Cabela's/Bass Pro had a couple of bear cubs in the back corner of the store, and there were hundreds of people standing in line so they could have their and their kids pictures taken with the darned bear cubs. It was funny because from the conversations I overheard, most of the "bear cub people" standing in line were talking about the corona virus.
Anyway, long story short - I didn't buy a Glock 19 from Cabela's/Bass Pro (I bought one from a LGS later that day), but I did buy two 100 round boxes of .22LRs, one 50 round box of 380 ACPs, and one 50 round box of 9mm Luger's. There were a few other people in the ammo department stocking up, and I'm sure Cabela's/Bass Pro in Idaho Falls is low on ammo by now, but they weren't on Saturday. And there was only
1 person in front of me in line at the checkout counter - everyone else in that store was standing in "the bear cubs line" and talking about the corona virus!
