I believe that the model 720 is the best revolver Rossi ever made. And I believe the fixed site version is the best. Mine came hammer free, but I wanted a hammer so I added one to mine. K frame gun with a J frame grip. Butter smooth action, crips trigger pull. 28oz all day carry gun. I did change grips from factory to pachmayrs
More accurate then I'll ever be. Super reliable and it throws a big chunk of lead down range. Any Rossi 720 lovers out there besides me?

Agree. I have an old 51 6" 22 which I call my Spanish K22 but this was made during the pre-Bangor Punta debacle. 720 rocks.

Would you have any idea what the trigger weight of that revolver is in double action ?

I have an adjustable-sight version with a hammer that is one of my very favorite handguns. It feels great in my hand, points well, is very accurate for me, and everyone who's shot it has liked it.

I also have a hammerless fixed-sight model, but its DAO trigger is so stiff that I don't enjoy shooting it.

I had a nice 971 and a little 22lr, but my preferred 720 is definitely the best Rossi I've shot or owned. (I also had one of their 38 special snubs back around 1990 or so.)

It’s a fine handgun for sure, but best Rossi is a tossup between 2 other models. 986 and 988, both Cyclops guns and the last number in the model indicates barrel length. I WILL own a 988 at some point in this lifetime.

I believe you are correct. I picked up a hammerless 720 a few months ago, after wanting one for years. It's a quality piece. Now to find the time to shoot it...

Ah , the Cyclops. I sort of hate admit it , but I've had a hunkerin' for one of those for years too. Doubt I'll act on it though , the prices on them seem extreme for a Rossi.

I don’t know the first thing about Rossi revolvers other than I’m assuming they are Italian copies of something?

Funny...I was just looking at these on Gunbroker. As a huge fan of the.44 Special and currently owning 5 or 6 of them and keeping one of my reloading presses set up for the caliber at all times, I'd really like to have one or two of those Rossi's.

The best Rossi I had was their Model 88: J frame size, stainless steel, 5 shot .38 Special with a 3" barrel and a rear adjustable sight. I thought at the time it was the gun S&W should have been making but wasn't; at least not til years later. Trigger pull was better than a comparable S&W in DA and nice and light in SA mode. Sights were adequate though they were both stainless steel so hard to pick up sometimes in bright daylight. The gun itself was the perfect upgraded Kit Gun and was my frequent backwoods companion.
