Which movie would you require all anti gun folks to watch

Don't waste your time. I saw the 1st one. I "get it" about the go being killed triggering him into doing what he did ....... however, I cannot develop sympathy for mob hitmen, reformed or not, they're bad movie heroes.

Thanks for the movie insight. Depending on how long the pandemic lasts I may watch it anyway to kill time.

Two Mel Gibson movies:

The Patriot - The sacrifices made by the average citizen with a firearm to stop tyranny and begin to build a nation conceived by men with vision.

Passion of the Christ - I've only seen this movie once when it was first run in theaters. It left a lasting impression on
me. During this time of uncertainty I and several of my family members plan on watching it April
10th, Good Friday. I'm not an overly religious type but with all the crap going on in the world I believe a little self reflection may be something many of us need including liberal anti gun types.........

Red Dawn (the first one.)

That was my first thought.

I would say "1984" but too many of them would probably think that society sounds great.

Same for red dawn. Too many in government like the idea of that society. Ive never seen "1984". I'll find it.

I liked the first one. The second was worth watching. The third I thought was pretty bad. Same with the expendables. Just IMO

The Patriot

That was my second thought.

Look we're all getting a bit stir crazy with what's going on. So lets have a little fun. If you could require an anti gun American to watch only one specific movie, which movie would you pick? My pick would be "Schindler's list"! What say you folks?

Deathwish! Show them this video at the very least!

I wouldn't.

Having converted an anti to a gun owner, I tell you true: that's not how you convert antis.

You know, I totally believe you. I think you are correct beyond doubt .... I think this thread is a sorta fun "what if" type of thing as we imagine in our minds what gun-related movie we think should persuade the antis.

It's all in fun, but we should know in the real world it won't work.

I'd say The Patriot which brings up the point of why we are the great country we are today! Show it to your kids as many are never taught about how we became the great country we are today! Our schools refuse to educate our youth on what it takes and means to be a truly free society! Granted there are some scenes that are Hollywood BS but for the most part it gets the point across and the liberals in our present society despise that!!

Film is far too light-weight a medium.

I think requiring a 20 page book report on The Gulag Archipelago, before graduating HS, would be an earth-shattering improvement though. . .

Boy loses girl, boy gets dog.
Boy loses dog - lively times ensue - boy gets another dog!

Straight outa Wonderful World of Disney. So, I agree; What's not to like?

Todd.

And not nearly as sad as Ol' Yeller as a bonus.

Gotta admit, I have never seen any of the John Wick movies. I have seen more videos of Keanu Reaves on a real firing range in practice. Eventually I will change that.

The first one is pretty good, sure the plot doesn't make a ton of sense but the action is entertaining.

The next two get a little too tactical 3 gun for me, still more watchable than most mindless action flicks but not as good as the first IMO. Though I do enjoy Lawrence Fishburne's character.

Now I suggested the John Wick movie as a joke. I thought that was kinda obvious.

The title of this thread is
Which movie would you require all anti gun folks to watch
I think that I would not "require" all anybody to watch a movie unless it was about some safety thing at work. I would not appreciate anti-gunners requiring me to watch some anti second amendment flick. But I also knew that the OP wasn't talking about that. He said his idea was a fun thread.

My idea...
