Governor announced last night that all non-essential businesses were ordered closed effective tomorrow.

I read the list of "essential" businesses and I did not see gun shops included. Pot shops are good to go, of course, and pet stores.

Perhaps I missed it, because I haven't seen any outrage over it anywhere.

I know the Colorado governor did the same thing and firearms industry lawyers had to threaten legal action to get him to add them to the list.

Not sure if the LGS here in S.FL are currently opened or not. We are currently in essential only mode too which includes liquor stores and medical MJ shops, we don't have recreational yet but didn't mention LGS's. The two shops I usually frequent for range time are just a few minutes away from my job so i usually go before or after work. Currently working remote which puts me on more hours than usual. So I haven't had a chance to take the 30ish minute drive to them to shoot in 2 weeks.

Trey, looks liked they're closed. Can't get ammo, can't get toilet paper, but the weed stores stay open. We're releasing prisoners to they don't get corona virus, but we have to stay locked down in our homes so we don't get corona virus. As we've long known, Dictator Jay and Stupid Bob are running a clown show.

Pacific Indoor Tactical in Oak Harbor is staying open- I think its because they sell coffee and some other consumables, maybe? Hence a food store? Hardware store maybe? Ironically cannibus shops can stay open(edibles???) but I feel like they state doesn’t want to cut off that revenue stream, like liquor stores that sell chips and beef jerky...

Wade's website says they're staying open, but they are known for being extremely inept when it comes to computers.

They aren't answering the phone, their website says that's because of crowds, but they've done exactly that too many times in the past for me to buy that.

Let me be clear, I DO NOT agree with this action. It sets a dangerous precedent.

With that said, why are we seeing this rush to buy firearms and ammo? Are you just waking up to the need to defend yourself? Who did you vote for in the last 5 elections? The gun store employees should be roaming the parking lot looking at bumper stickers and denying access to anyone with a Bernie, Biden or Hillary sticker on their car.

I know this isn’t high road but...

Anyone going to anything like a gun shop at this time is an idiot. Pure and simple.

What the hell is wrong with people that do this? How stupid can you be? Entire economies are shutting down and you have to look at guns? Damn

When you die from this, you literally drown in your own mucus and blood that has filled your lungs. Sound like a joke?

Everyone who reads this will know someone that dies within the next month. Think about it. Might be you.

By far, your biggest danger isn’t some imaginary zombie mob. It’s a creature of microscopic size. Who the hell needs fifty guns and 10,000 rounds of ammo? Wake up

uhhhhhh......no. You’re just not paying attention. This has a long lead time. Odds are you know someone that is walking dead

Do you really think governments are shutting down for no good reason? Do you really think Cuomo is pleading for 26,000 MORE ventilators for no reason? Just for New York?

People in China were literally falling over dead in the hallways in hospitals. Italy cannot cremate bodes as fast as people are dying. This is not business as usual

We don’t know when or how this is going to end, but it will end. The spanish flu killed upwards of 50 to 100 million people.
Overwhelming the that days health care system. Our ancestors survived that and more.
My parents were terrified of Polio, there was no vaccine and some people in our community were affected by that disease, including my pediatrician. Running around with your hair on fire screaming we’re all gonna die serves no purpose, it just adds to the panic. People are buying guns and locally can't buy ammo to feed it. Our LGSs are open, with limited range time. We have a FOID system which effectively prevents millions from purchasing a gun at the last minute.
I m hoping as the weather warms life will flourish outdoors and the virus will run its course. Im rotating trips to stores with my son in-law, I do grocery early am,old guy hour, he does big box pm once a week. So far so good, but panic could win the day and the wheels come off but Im not preparing to shoot folks traversing my neighborhood.
