Around here getting the cat and the gun in the same picture without using photoshop would be like winning the lottery twice in the same day. She is not one for loud noises and learned about that relationship long ago.

And you wonder why I think cats are smarter than many dogs.

My dog will shy away from all firearms, generally. He does not like the noise. My buddy's dog starts going nuts when he sees a long gun since he's a bird dog and knows it means he is in for a wonderful day of hunting.

I can find more useful ways to hurt myself.

When my dad was raising bird dogs, GSH, we had to hide the guns if we weren't taking the dogs with us.

The only winning strategy is to use the one shot to shoot the cat and hope the spasms don't decapitate you.

When we had beagles years ago, if you came out the back door with bibs on or carrying anything like a broom, shovel or anything sort of long they'd start going nuts.

My cats don't like loud noises like most cats. They do however love to help trying to clean after a range trip. Must be something they smell in the lube they like as both will just sit there on the table and supervisor.

Make sure it’s a de-clawed one.

This is cruel to the cat!! It's also cruel to the poor shlub holding the cat.

Had cats for many years. Once. only once in the early years did I try to give one a bath in the bath room hand basin. Claw marks extended from the area of my navel to the top of my head.
Hold one and fire a pistol off, nah I’ll pass.

The cat has no eye protection which is a violation of safety protocols. Thus, I must close this.
