Thanks for the warning about cats and dogs. I had seem almost zero info about this.

The main point seems to be to remove shoes (leave in garage).
Luckily we have Never let our cats outside. The main killer usually is HBC: "hit by car", told to me by a veterinarian. People who care about cats keep them inside.

I have been re-reading the op title -

There is no "gun storage warning " in that original post. Seems as though the title was a smoke screen for the pet alert. And , just how does that pet warning fit into the proposed subject matter?
