Years ago I read an article in a knife magazine about these knives designed by Ken Warner for outdoor use. There were three I can remember, the Grunt, Campr, and Workr (spelling is correct). Loved the look of the workr and ran across this new old stock for much less than what they went for almost 20 years ago( think it's been almost that long).

Have no real use for it, but my fiance has no real use for me, still keeps me around 20200330_152054.jpg

It's made in Seki Japan and I believe the steel is AUS-8

Nice! It looks like it would make one heck of a "slicer" for kitchen or camp use.:)

Ha,ha,ha,ha! That's okay - every once in a while when I make my wife mad she says, "I only married you for a ticket out of California, you know." But seeing as how we've been married for almost 49 years, it's hard for me to take that statement seriously anymore.:D

I always wondered why pistol grip or kukri angled handles weren't more popular on knives. Using a couple of them helped me to realize how important that handle angle is to indexing the rest of the knife. I don't mind a bit of hook near the butt, but for the most part, a straighter knife works better for me. Maybe if I had grown up using a kukri it would work better for me. Parang works OK for slashing through underbrush.

I have recently discovered pistol grip pliers, however, and they certainly help with pulling operations.
