What would you have LIKED to buy in the last 3 days but couldn't?

Would really like to buy Gold and farmland right now....(instead I'm spending it on overpriced short supply toilet paper). Seriously, looking down the road I foresee worldwide economic distrust of paper money and food shortages

Primers and Powder. I received an advertisement for free hazmat with a certain dollar amount purchase. I am ready to make that purchase but alas, everything is out of stock. Bad timing for me to reloading, but I did get a few things.

I'd like to buy an 8lb or two of retumbo. Other than that I'm bummed that both the MRC 1999 and cz 550 have apparently gone out of production in the last couple months. I'm trying to decide if there's any I want to buy. We're running out of dangerous game actions in the US at least new ones.

Nothing. I'm blessed to be well stocked. Plenty of ammo and components, and not jonesing for any new hardware. In fact, just sold a rifle I never shot.

I wanted to buy a PMR 30, but Scheels closed for a few weeks.

When (and IF) you get one, the first time you take it apart to clean it - GO SLOWLY !! Look over your manual as you go and take your time. There is a small (~1/4") piece of nylon that IIRC is called a "buffer".
It is very easy to lose this little piece.
Also, to fully load the magazine takes enough force to hurt your fingers and possibly dent the brass of the ammo. As I haven't shot mine much (yet), I haven't had any problems. Several people (other shooters as well as LGS employees) suggest only loading 25 rounds.

I am good to go in the guns and ammo department. I am a former infantryman but at 45 years old if I have to go through 3k in 223 and 2k in 40 S&W, I am pretty much done anyways. I guess I have around 100 rounds of 00 if I am still alive after running My AR and Mini dry, but I'm not holding my breath.

Toilet paper though, I can still remember the good ole days when you could buy it at the supermarket.

Thanks for the tip.

Today marks my 14th day of work from home quarantine, and I think we’re coming out of this thing. Today marked the first time I saw toilet paper, albeit store brand only, on the shelf, and there weren’t even store security surrounding the pile to make sure nobody took more than one pack.

Toilet paper. I was out of town when the panic buying started and made the mistake of thinking people can't be that stupid...........
Took a little work but problem solved. This isn't all for me. Spreading the love around. IMG_4281.JPG

I unexpectedly traded into a Pietta SAA clone right before things got screwy. Want to load a nice little pile of rounds for it, have bullets, brass, and powder, for a decent supply of rounds, but only have 100 large pistol primers. That is the only thing I load that uses those, so hadn't had a chance to get stocked up.

Glad I have that one pack, going to have to make those count. Not even sure when I got them, probably accidentally grabbed them not realizing they were mixed in.

Went into town to the only LGS for 50 miles to pick up some powder for my new .308 and it was shut down due to virus concerns. Reluctantly went to Walmart to see what powder they had and they stopped selling all powders, only one box of .308 left, no primers, and a couple of boxes of bullets I didn't need.

Sign on the LGS...

I really want a Beretta cx4 carbine. None locally for face to face. Armslist has a bunch but the ones that will ship are a lot or the wrong caliber. And the ones that are affordable are private and won't ship

Rifle powder from MidSouth. They have closed local pick up and I just can’t justify the hazmat and shipping charges when I drive by there.

I went to the grocery store Saturday and they had everything on my list except Habanero peppers. Not one to be found at any store in town.
We are sitting pretty good, If that's the extent of my grocery shortages.

Powder , H-335 & H-4895 . I inventoried my stash and it turned out I didn't have as much as I thought . In theory I still have plenty but not as much as I'd like to have on hand .
