All the trade ins look to be dried up at this time. Maybe there will be more I hope. I want a 10-6 or 10-8 like what classic arms had for sale. Let me see yours and your stories about them please and thank you!

You can't get more basic that a 4" K-frame with gutter-sights,,,
If everyone in our country owned one and 250 rounds of ammunition,,,
My not-so-humble opinion is there would be a lot less neighborhood crime.

That one you have pictured is one ugly handgun,,,
Myself, I much prefer the tapered barrel version instead

That being said,,,
I don't actually own one.

I do however own the Model 12,,,
The alloy frame version of the Model 10.

If this were the only handgun I owned,,,
I would still consider myself to be well armed.

That is one ROCKIN' cool looking piece.

Did you buy it from gunsamerica or is it just a photo from there site?

Todd.

Yes. Its one of those guns everyone should own. Too bad many young shooters have been lured away by the idea you need 15 shoots in a plastic gun before you are armed. I have two model 10s. A 6" tapered barrel and a nickle plated heavy barrel that was my mothers when she was on the Sheriffs dept. If I get a chance I will take a couple of pictures of them and post it.

I have one I got off gunbroker a few years ago for I think 260 was the price I won the auction for, then add in transfers and such. Decent quality, functional, finish not pristine, but good. Prices seem to have been creeping up, but watching online sales they are out there.

Here's my 10-5. My dad bought about 4 of these back in the 70s, some round butt and some square, and gave them to his sons along the way. This was the first pistol my wife (then first outdoor/shooting date) shot and she drilled a pop can about 5 times at 15 yards. It was then I knew I was in love.

I put the sambar stag grips on it about 15 years ago I think. My son shoots this like a laser. Better than me.

Hard to capture nickel finish sometimes ... I like the snubbies. Shown with one of my 15s. I now have more 15s than 10s.

I'd say a Model 10-5 or so with a 4" barrel is my favorite (I like both the pencil barrels and the heavy barrels), need to take some more pics if I ever get a day off.

J-bar wheres the double like button! Lol
I like the case hardened triggers and hammers on these old guns. Gives me warm n fuzzies.

Thank you.

The heavy barrel is a 10-5 from 1966. It's little brother is a 10-5 from 1963. I imagine I paid more for them than some other folks would, but I don't regret it.
