My son and I packed up a few toys...https://photos.app.goo.gl/siuRgPGHsvWw1YvM7...and went to the range. He's 21 now and has been wanting to get a .22 revolver of this own. It was my intention to get him into a Ruger Wrangler, but when I went to the range yesterday, I saw this Heritage in the case with a 5" barrel and nice grips in the case. I wondered if my son might like that. When we walked in I pointed it out to him to see his reaction. He liked it. I showed him how it was more like the Single Six and he says that he likes it better than the Wrangler. I didn't blame him. I told the owner of the range, "We'll take it." I haven't seen that look on my son's face since he was 12 and I gave him the Henry lever gun in .22. Well, needless to say, we shot .22 for the most part and blew through the better part of a brick.

Both are in the pics. With all of the crap going on, I needed a good day and this certainly was one.

I have two of the HRR revolvers, a 4.75" inch "plowhandle" and a 3.5-inch "birdshead" model. They're both pretty slick-handling, and hard to put down once in hand. I haven't shoot the second one all that much. Both are Magnum-convertible. I like them a lot.

Nothing like a fun trip to the range with your kids (no matter how old they are), to brighten up just about anybody's day!
Nice touch with getting the Heritage Rough Rider for your son!

And now the circle is complete...
