I picked up a Interarms MarkX in 22-250. I am making up some test cartridges for this gun to sight the scope In I put on it.
I switched over to 55 grain FMJ bullets.
Lee has IMR4350 starting charge with 38.6 grains.
Max charge of 39.5 grains.
So I set my powder thrower at 39 brains right about in the middle.
It almost fills up the case.
I doubt the 39.5 grains would fit in the case.

That's why there's a C by the weight for compressed. Some people use a drop tube to help get more powder in.

I that's why they are so full. Thank you for your responce.

I have a few more powders and projectiles to load up before we go shooting Saturday.

@ColtPythonElite had the answer and it’s one time compressed loads are acceptable when published data includes it. But 4350 is a fairly slow powder for .22-250. Do you have anything faster? 4895 is a really good powder for 55 gr bullets. Good luck!

I have several different powders that I loaded up to try out in this rifle and have a few more to try out once I see where it shoots.
If the thing patterns decent with the four different combinations I have I will keep it and get it dialed in.

I also have an old Winchester 70 in 22-250 with a bull barrel that I bought and never shot. I picked up a leupold scope to mount on it and see what that does.
