New to me 66-2

Got this little gem today from a business tycoon out in San Antone, he was a cool guy included a galco holster spent 700 even I think it was a good buy. I have lubed it up and loaded with some .38 plus p sjhps, rear cylinder shield is really sharp and cut my finger may take some sand paper to dull it a bit.

Oh it will be church gun. I go to a cowboy church, used to carry my 629 right side went to my Colt 1911, it will also be a duty backup to my Colt after the police academy. Below is my usual setup, will be carrying the 66 left side.

I tried to find some black buffalo Horn grips to no avail. I just bought some buffalo bone grips for my 1911.

I was surprised by the polish but whoever did it did it beautifully. I actually had a nickel 19 once upon a time I like this one better though.

I will most likely try to get some new grips the one on the gun isn't for me, I will also be replacing the cylinder latch with an extended model from hogue

Whoever polished it did a superb job there is no evidence this thing has ever been fired even the bore is spotless

Unable to fine those... I did however score some faux ivory inserts from BK grips to add to this polished wood. I am getting some buffalo bone for my 1911

That's a looker! I can't wait to get my bk grip inserts on mine. With pair nicely with my Colt and its buffalo bone grips
