I follow Missouri Bullets on Facebook. This is what they posted today. I'm thinking they're hoping some folks can take a subtle hint, eh?:rofl::rofl:

With the panic buying going on and our running behind, many customers are upset that they are having to wait to receive their orders. There are actually enough of them that it takes significant time to respond to their urgent phone inquiries and emails. It's a problem.

We had a short company meeting this morning and it concluded with a vote. The question was: "Should we spend our time making bullets or would the time be better spent telling our impatient customers that we haven't shipped their order yet."

I think we can only do one or the other. What are your thoughts?

I'd put a message on the answering machine.... "Hi, you've reached MBC. Thank you for calling. Your call will be answered in the order in which it was received. You are currently caller number 5,287. Estimated hold time is currently 18 hours and 37 minutes, or you can read the answer to your question on our Facebook page and web site."

From their website:

Welcome to the Missouri Bullet Company!

Delayed shipping - Due to the high volume of orders, please allow extra time for your order to be shipped.
We have suspended customer pick ups at this time.

I would say that is easy enough to see. You will always have people that complain.

I was impressed by RMR. Ordered 3/22 recieved delivered 3/27. Midway took about 3 weeks. Lee shipped the next day. Precision delta in early March took 3 days to ship. Everything seems to be getting worse now though.

It may only get more backlogged as time goes on.

Not MBC but I ordered some bullets from Natchez Shooters Supply about 2 weeks ago and they haven't shipped yet...

If be disappointed if they hadn't had a warning on the website... Just like every other site that sells ammo and reloading components I've been on.

They should spend their time making bullets, just have their website saying, due to high demand expect a month or whatever time it is taking for delivery. Put the same message on their answering machine.

I wonder what in the hell is throwing people about why their stuff might be delayed.

I'm guessing Brad & Joanne are wondering the same thing. Probably why there is a tone of frustration in their Facebook post. I don't blame them. They are still going to work everyday, asking their employees to come to work everyday during this scary and stressful time.. Doing everything they can, while being overwhelmed by "wait till the last minute panic buyers" and then on top of it, having to deal with the phones ringing off the wall, by folks that don't have a clue.

I bet overall folks are ordering a lot of stuff online (like groceries on Amazon) rather than going to the stores and the shipping companies are backed up causing delays.

I placed an order with RMR om 3/28; the shipping LABEL was created yesterday; still no word on when it will ship. I can wait, with a foot in a boot, I'm not going anywhere anyway for a few weeks.

I noticed the banner when I placed an order a couple of weeks ago. I still received the order fairly quickly. Like George P wrote, I'm not going anywhere soon....

If the weather would clear up I can go try the loads now.

I believe they ship USPS, which doesn't handle groceries, nor Amazon in many places.

RMR has a banner on their website that tells you ',,, tons of orders,, expect delays,,,'
Midway has a HUGE banner
Perhaps it's 'banner-time',,,

I was looking around a day or 2 after I heard the ~panic~ had started,,,
Just about placed my 1st order w/MBC because they (and Acme*) were 2 sites that didn't have any mention whatsoever of 'delays' on their landing page.
(W/Acme, once you got to the 'caliber specific' page, you were told what flavor was out of stock and what the ETA was.)

Thinking back, it didn't really matter to me if MBC was a bit late to the 'banner party' anyway as I priced what I wanted w/shipping @ MBC and decided to go w/RMR and order some FMJ for the same (or slightly better) price. While I'm certainly in no hurry, I admit it would be a bit of a bummer to order from MBC under the assumption 'No Banner, no mention of anything relative to a delay' meant business as usual..

HEY!!! There IS a bright side to of all this... Y'all will be a few thousand bullets 'closer' to getting your order @ MBC filled as a result of me ordering from RMR instead!

We all win!!! :D

What is this 'phone' thing you speak of?? I was under the impression E-Commerce was E-Commerce,,, no phone required!

Since I really don't need anything or want anything really does not apply to me. What I do question people who know exactly what is going on and can't understand back orders. How can anyone not know this? Really are people getting that stupid? I want it now simply is not going to work and just about when I thought I could not find stupider people, there they are.

As a business you treat the customers with respect and you just lay out the facts as they are. Your order is xx in line and we can fill it in or on xx. Would you still like to place the order. Business is not emotional and always handled professionally.
