Loaded 2 of each in the cylinder sent them down range and was just amazed at the results. The range was 50 yards.

They paired up the different points of impact from the different pins I used. I was just amused by the difference in impact points at 50 yards with the difference of only a few grains of lead.

the difference looks pretty normal to me since the weight difference. Exactly how much different is there between the three?

a 7 to 10 grain difference will change the POI of any given bullet. Good examples are 115/124 grain 9mm bullets and 55/62 grain 223 bullets.

I was just shooting the same boolits out of my Contender yesterday a MP mold the H/P boolit shoots the best out of my Contender
44 Magnum ringing a 10" steel plate at a 100 yards is lots of fun Also have sane mold in .454 again the H/P holds a better group
picture of Encore 454 at 100 yards

Nice shooting, I am not that good of a shot. How hard are you pushing them? I am trying to get an accurate load in the 1200+/- 50fps range. I was pushing them hard but think for hunting I would be better off with a mid range load instead but any advice is appreciated?

In my Contender 44 magnum 7.5 gr of Unique works vary well I use a 6" gong at 50 yards and a 10" at a 100 yards. in the 454 I'm using
27.5 gr of H110 But i need to start to load down the 454 or see if 45 LC group ok the 454 is not as fun as it was 10 years ago

Not surprised at all with the difference in POI with the different weights especially at 50 yards. I bet that the POI on the 324 and 329 will be closer at shorter ranges. The 343 will have a different POI than the other two no matter what the range is.

I am using HS6 right now to try and find a sweet spot, these were about the upper limit I want for hunting at close to 1250 mv. I figured that at the H110 velocity there would be no chance it holds together but would make a good penetrating round as a solid.
I will reiterate a point you know, and that is they will eat your lead supply like a fat man at a buffet. Good looking bullets.

what are you loading for

454 SRH hunting whitetail, hogs and maybe an outside chance at black bear though that is probably a few years down the road.

Good page for a lot of calibers. I tried True Blue but got some pressure signs even at low charge weights but am not sure you can get enough H110 in it to over pressure it.
