Finnish Tikka T3 in .308, with a Harris bipod and a custom muzzle break. Action is smooth as glass. I love shooting better than folks with custom rifles that cost well over twice what my rifle did.
Finding a well sporterized warhorse is something you might enjoy.
1903, was wearing a 2.5-6x, but will be wearing a 4x Kahles. Used several different weapons this past year, but this one took 2 deer at 173 and 128 yards, within minutes of each other. (Would've been within seconds, but I was waiting to see if deer 2 would give me a better shot.)
This is my Tikka built up by Mac Tilton at Mtguns.
Fully adjustable stock and cheekpiece, 1-8 twist 223 cal barrel by Trueflite. PNW rear, gehmann adjustable front, and gehmann adjustable iris rear.
Trigger adjusted to 2 pounds, very crisp, with no creep or overtravel.
50BMG built by George Gardner (GA Precision) on McMillan stock & action, 29" Mike Rock barrel, McMillan brake. 20MOA Inclined scope base, Badger rings, Nightforce 5.5-22x56mm mildot. Shoots about half MOA with my reloads (750gr AMAX at about 2600fps). Over-all length is about 56", and it weighs about 30 lbs.
On top is a stock Remington PSS in .308 I painted with Krylon. It's currently wearing a Weaver 15x scope, but I'm not sure what it's going to end up with.
Middle is a pre64 Win. Model 70 in .300 Win Mag. It has a 16X Super Sniper on it. It's a very good scope, but not ideal for most of the hunting I do. Works well hunting fields, though. It has a Shaw barrel and unknown muzzle brake. The muzzle brake is nice! I'm not sure of the origin of the walnut. It may be the original, worked over, or it may be custom.
Bottom is a Weatherby Vanguard in .270 Win. It has a 4.5-14X40 Simmons scope. For a cheap scope, I love it. This is a great deer gun.
I also have 2 Enfield Mk1No4's, but I don't have pictures of them. I'll have to post some later.
