Interesting projects. I've been thinking about making a presentation case for a couple handguns.

Right now I have a rifle display rack in the works. Made from forked limbs. Have to see how it turns out.

Always wondered why the holes have to be spaced so far apart. So I made one with recessed lighting egg crate lens material from Home Depot, and hardwood molding cut on my shaper: Works for my needs just fine, and I can double the capacity in the same space. (1/4" white melamine is on the bottom)

However ... I saw the following on Thingiverse....a 3D printed one for revolver speed loaders. I like it!

I didn’t “make” it but this was the most solid bench I ever put a press on.

This was my most intricate wood working project, I’m more of a metal guy.

20 years in a blink of an eye, I hope she still has it, took a long time to build, not being a wood guy.

These are 5.56 trays I made recently. They’re modeled, shaped and sized similarly to the old 1980s MidwayUSA trays that they used to sell back in the 1980s. They’re made to match a bunch of the Midway ones that I’ve had for years. Long sides are slightly routed for a better grasp...identical to the old ones. Simple, efficient, clean design and layout that’s worked for me for years. Hopefully, these ones, being made from American Ash and stained with tung oil, will last just as long.

Don't look now, but I think your press stand has termites.

Last one.....

Brown&Sharpe, "bench mic" head(bullet is just for scale). Can't remember their model #? It's much larger diameter than a std mic head. It's graduated in "tenths"(.0001) vs reading a veneer scale on a std mic. You can find them on evilbay, this one was <20$. It's for case neck thickness,I made everything except the mic head. Even mixed the paint,I forget the recipe.... think the "magic" ingredient is Xylene, or xylol? It's used in place of more normal reducers. Kinda funky paint, but it works.

I'm interested in seeing what kind of reloading or gun stuff others have made out of wood. Might give me an idea to intertwine the loves.

Here's a couple loading blocks and a parts bowl I made. Both blocks are ash, one well used and one new. The bowl is oak.

Very nice but I am much too lazy.

The trays are just the plastic ones that come in the loaded ammo boxes. The bench top on the other hand is hand fabricated, It is two pcs. of 3/4" ply laminated together with another pc. of 1/4" ply and 1/8" hardboard that is cut out to recess the 5/16" plate steel plate that has been drilled and tapped for all my presses. Only use one press at a time so this way I can swap presses in about 5min.
