Getting one of these pistols with the really long barrel, for handloading kicks!

What's a good low - magnification scope which has a matching finish with this pistol?

They don't make the Leupold VX-3 in silver anymore, which was my first pick...

I have a Bushnell on my Super Redhawk and it matches almost perfectly.

Leupold or Burris 2x. Variables are more bulk than necessary and more magnification than can be used. All mine wear red dots.

Leupold rings. Optics are Ultradots.

I use a leupold 2x LER for my 44 Blackhawk. Don’t think it comes in silver, but it’s a winner.

Can’t say that I fully agree with the “more mag than can be used” portion of your comments, but I agree that the red dots are very effective, and less bulky.

Crank that VX3 up to 8x and shoot it at 50yds and you’ll see. Been there, done that.

Their 2x has been made in silver.

Here is my SRH with weaver 2X pistol scope. Tried a 4X first and like the 2X much better and even seems ideal but haven't actually tried any of the other powers on a pistol,

What are the part number for those Leupold Scope Rings?

Might need them for reference.

I’m gravitating towards the Aimpoint 9000SC, but I’m not sure I could mount it directly using rings.

Might need a Weigand Rail, the idea of which I don’t quite like.

Super redhawks come with 1" rings included. If you need metric rings just contact ruger and they'll send them out. Be a polite person and offer to return the rings that came with the pistol but they'll decline .

Before they stopped being made, I would say get a Bushnell Trophy 2-6x. I’ve had one on my SRH for about 30 years. I was able to grab a few more and have them on my T/C Contenders. Burris and Weaver are good choices too.

I don't use the Ruger rings because they're much too high. You can see in this pic how high they are compared to the Leupolds. I also think the Leupold is a more secure, better made ring.

Anybody here seen the 9000SC with scope rings installed on a Super Redhawk sans the Weigand Rail?

Although the other smaller red dots are probably better choices, I want this one because of the way it looks! :rofl:

FXII on a Blackhawk.

The silver finish nicely complements Ruger's stainless guns. This one is 4x, which is too much. From a rest, vignetting is an issue. Off hand, stability is. I should have bought the 2x. None are available from Leupold any more, but a quick check of eBay shows a passable selection.

The 9000SC has a fat midsection - eyeballing it, do you think said midsection will fit between the Leupold rings?

It looks like it will fit. If not, they also have extension rings.
