Got my first 1911 a few years back. That SA Mil Spec has been a reliable, fun, and kinda old school way to suck me into the world of 1911’s.

After awhile, I knew I wanted a second 1911. The new one needed to have more modern features so I could have a sample of that. It needed to be quality, and not so costly that it was out of reach.

The SA Garrison and Loaded were at the top of my shortlist. Happened upon a well put together Loaded and snagged it!

It should be a nice pistol. Enjoy it.

I have 9x19 Springfield 1911 that has always shot well.

Congratulations on the new SA! I recently aquired my first Springfield, a "2021" Operator for lack of a better way to put it. I only have 150 rounds through it so far but its a nice one. Very well fit and finished, and tight! I'm sure you'll enjoy yours!

Thanks! And congrats on yours too my friend

The SA Loaded 1911 is a great choice. I bought mine several years ago and it lit a 1911 fire that has led to several other buys (including a 9mm 4.45” SA Ronin, which I really like!)

The SA Loaded has been 100% reliable since day one, firing a couple thousand standard 230 gr fmj, and a good amount of 230 gr Win SXT and 230 gr Rem Golden Saber jhp loads; both rapid-fire and deliberate. (It needs a true 6 o’clock hold)

Yes, the out of the box trigger on my specimen trigger is a creep-free 3 lbs 8 oz . The Ronin needed a C&S kit to bring it from 5.75 lbs to 4.5 lbs.

When you get a chance to exercise your new .45 let us know how it shoots for you. :)

Stay safe.

Hopefully will stretch its legs tomorrow. Will certainly let you know.

Hope mine runs as well as yours.

I have purchased a great firearm. The loaded 1911 is what I used to qualify for my LTC (license to carry), congratulations .
Thanks! I’ve been very pleased with my SA Mil Spec. Look forward to trying out this one with the bells and whistles.

Feels nice in the hand. Can’t wait to get out and shoot

Range update.

Fired 100 rounds using assorted mags. Zero issues.

Gun shoots very tight groups, and the rear site needs just a touch of shifting to the right.

Trigger is a little heavy, but smooth.

I really like the extended thumb safety. Bigger difference than I thought vs the Mil Spec safety.

Don’t care for the FLGR. Loosened itself up after about 80 rounds. Will be changing that out to a GI plug and guide rod.

Ejection was excellent. Will run a 10-8 test next time. But very pleased with overall feeding and extraction.

Overall, I really like it.

Man, I kick myself for passing on the $550 used loadeds that were easy to find on Armslist and tfl/thr etc ten years back or so.
Always liked a stainless.
