I introduced y'all to "Beauty and the Beast" (the first '60 Army in 45acp) a while back and she is a "Beauty" . . . but, now she's GORGEOUS !!!!!! She got new "attire" from none other than CraigC !!!!

I've "lusted" after one of his holsters from the first time I saw any of his work!! The man is amazing!!!
Thanks so much CraigC !!! You've made "Beauty and the Beast" quite the show gal!!!

Thats really nice and Craigs holsters are the reason I never post pictures of the dirt simple holsters I make. I wish he would make make a series of videos on YT showing some of his skill for those of us who don't have it.

Goon and I have talked about making him a holster for years, since the very beginning of my leatherwork in 2013 and in turn, him doing some tuning for me. Which came to a fever pitch when Kirst started doing the .45ACP conversions. Happy to finally see both fulfilled. Or at least the first one. ;)

Hey, everybody starts somewhere. My first holster is nearly an embarrassment but I kept at it. Doesn't seem like it's been 11yrs. I have an online tutorial but it was done years ago, only about 2yrs after I started. A good bit of the process has changed. I no longer use the same dyes (except for black), glue, hand stitching or even the holster pattern but the concepts remain the same. I have thought about doing some YT video tutorials. Right now the best resource are Chuck Burrows' DVD's.

That was a great tutorial. It has been bookmarked and saved. Its apparent I have been cutting corners and leaving out a LOT of steps. But I know now. I have a Tandy leather about 12 miles from me. Its where I bought my first sheet of leather. My basic learning came from a couple of articles in The Backwoodsman Magazine. Basic at best. But it was a start. Thanks a million for the link.:thumbup::thumbup:
