ROSSI 454

I've toyed with the idea of getting a .454 Rossi, but when I consider I'd probably never own a revolver in the chambering I figure the 92 action will suffice for all my hot .45 Colt needs plus be lighter in weight too.

Very cool!

Mine’s just a plain old 16” .45 Colt. The SRH in .454 is more than enough for me. :D

Stay safe.

mine is stainless 20 inch barrel, and was not much more with the 45 colt loads than my 22 Henry golden boy.
I also have the stainless ROSSI, 38/357 MAG, and was shooting 357 mags. I honestly can not tell the difference in the 38s I shoot thru it and the 357 mags, as far as recoil goes, and that one has the 16 inch barrel

When you shoot some full-house 454 through it I'd like a "report". :p

I've never shot a 454 and am curious as to how fierce they might be.
On my 1st gen 454, the magazine tube was torn out of the reciever by the recoil. I sent it back to Rossi. Once it came back, the magazine tube was torn from the reciever again due to recoil. Back to Rossi it went. Third time I've had no trouble with it. Seems like they figured things out.

As far as I'm aware, all of the Rossi 92s in .454 Casull and .480 Ruger had the threaded mag tube. I could be wrong though.

I kind of wish they had also done the threaded mag tube for the .44 mag 92s since they can kick pretty good with heavy loads as well.
