Looks like Centerfire Systems dredged the bottom of the river for these used guns.

1. These aren't even old guns that have been rotting away in police evidence for 40 years. These look like they were dredged up from the Detroit River.

2. Those prices are nuts for the condition those guns are in.

3. If people are actually paying those prices, then I'm rich with my stash of revolvers that are in FAAAAAAAAAAR BETTER CONDITION.

I wouldn't give $100 for all four of the ones shown.

I have used centerfire systems quite a bit over the years. And have watched there "project" pieces go from really good cheap deals for someone like me who likes a project until now where you can find a decent shootable example for better prices elsewhere. I still pick up a few things here and there from them. But I don't even look through the projects no more.

My gun store has a display case, off in the corner. They call gunsmith specials. Usually only sell them to people they know or can prove some firearm repair competency, no bubba smiths. Lots of Spanish clone revolvers and nickel revolvers in the same condition as those. But usually for 100 or less. Those prices are borderline criminal.

The state police periodically auction off seized firearms after court proceedings are finished. Maybe that’s where they came from. But I’m not sure any self-respecting gang banger would carry one.

Except for a couple of model 10s and a model 65, most of it is junk. Who is sawing out trigger guards?

Carry one??? I wouldn't even let one of those miniature boat anchors in my house!!!

That's pathetic. Well, I guess a lot more people than I ever imagined have actually lost their guns in "boating accidents" on the Detroit River. ;)

Here's some ocean front property in Montana for sale.

Desktop_Background_Waterfront.jpg

Only half the price as west coast ocean front properties, been sold a few times.

Comes with a gun from a friend named Bubba.

And a crazy cat.

Looks like @GunnyUSMC is trying to offload some Cajun evidence guns.

Looks like one of those Smiths had a triggerguard bent as it was pounded on some poor soul’s noggin a couple of times. 😞

$80 bucks, tops, is all I would pay for any of them.

Good luck buyers!

Stay safe.
