Berdan 30-06 brass

Does anyone reload this stuff?
I have about 50 - 60 rds that I recently fired myself. Free to anyone who can use it. I'll ship at my cost.🙂

That’s very kind of you, but why spend $10 to ship $.20 worth of steel cases?

30-06 is not exactly some exotic cartridge.
You could find it laying around at any Shooting Range.

Ironically 30-06 isn't something you normally find on my ranges unless its steel...
September and October is 30-06 season as well as 30-30 and 303 Brit here in Kanuckistan.
All the hunters come out to sight their rifles for deer season.

I saw a guy pull out a. 30-06 with a pencil barrel last week and fire half a box as fast as he could load them. He was there with his son so I kept my thoughts to myself.

Yeah we get that too at the local public range, not so much at my club's range.
Local range is 10min away so it's convenient to use it at times. My club range is 40min away and you have to be qualified by another member and attend some events before you can use the 600yd range. So shooters at the 600yd are generally pretty well educated as far as safety and good firearm care and practices.

Says “brass plated case” right on the box. Might want to check with a magnet. Betcha a donut they’re steel like all other Golden Bear. Still might be useful to someone.
Yes ,they are plated, (bi-metal) not bare steel. Doesn't matter to me, I'm not gonna use them, if someone does use them I'm happy to help them.🙂

Our club costs $20 a year after the first year $55 membership.
I believe they do a background check to make sure you’re not a felon.

Despite this we have around 275 members and the rifle range looks like a ghost town other than the weeks before hunting season.
We still go out to 425y and have steel at all ranges beyond 100y.

As an added bonus you can drive to your target.

Ours is a little steeper, $125yr, so it does eliminate some who can't/ don't want to pay that much. But the amenities are worth it to me. We have 3 skeet/trap fields, four pistol ranges , 50yd and 200yd rifle at the main club. The 600yd is separate just down the road. We can shoot 720yds if we use the berm off to the side and behind the pavilion.

To me, its better to have and not use it than to want it and not have it.
I dont use berdan primed cases, but still keep unto them in case one day i set up a rig to boxer them. You need a vise and a drill, then a few other things to line it up to make the perfect piercing for the center flashhole.
With the fact i experiment often with various brass cases as well, i will find a use for these.

I'm over here sad I have a 100 for free and 200 at 22 dollars a trip. I'd pay your range rates for that access even if I had to drive an hour each way....

I actually did load one once just to see if was possible. As you mentioned, drilling the flash hole and decapping are a pain. I didnt have any boxer primers, so I used the cup from the spent boxer, cut the face off and pressed in a CCI LR. I had to add some aluminum to shim between the boxer and the CCI and I didn’t get a perfect fit as evidenced by soot around the edges when I fired it. It was way more trouble than it's worth. But if you had no choice it can be done.
