The Colt HBAR (second from top) is stock with the exception of my "fixing" the factory Colt flaws by threading the barrel 1/2-28 and adding both a flash hider and a A-frame with a (gasp) bayonet lug
The rest of the guns are for various 3-Gun competitions, but are fairly mallninjaish
My 601/602 clone. Needs some work to be a "true" 601, but I'm getting closer every day. Old pic, receiver is now gray with Norrell's to match the upper, and I've got a beavertail charging handle and duckbill F/S on the front.
Uncle's AR-10 and AR-15s are completely un ninja'd.
Scope and nothing more.
I plan all my AR-15s to be like this, but probably scopeless. AR-10s will likely get the scope.
Mine isn't. 16" LMT upper, Lauer/LMT lower, 6 position RRA stock and a Larue BUIS. I have a really crappy camera-phone pic, but it's not worth posting.
I really like it. They had all the stuff I wanted (1/7 twist, M4 feed ramps) and a nice price. The upper and lower fit together perfectly and there were no burrs or imperfections. The finish is very black and fairly tough. I've had no malfunctions, and it shoots nice too.
Side by side with a friend's Colt, I'd say the LMT is at least as nice and well-built, and certainly cheaper.
Well, halfway through buying all RRA stuff, I started reading on ar15.com how everyone raved about Colt and LMT. I ended going with all RRA lower/upper/bcg, etc, but I was still curious about the LMT rifles.
This is kind of funny! I started a thread exactly like this on the SigForum 3 weeks or so ago. I'm with WildAlaska...wondering what in the World has happened to ARs....The results seem to be based on the age of the responders...Young guys like to pimp their rifles out...(like the influence of our Current Military), and older guys like them plain..(much like our Past Military)....I think it's all about marketing and "some" improvements that were'nt around for those of us with some years on us....To each their own, I like'm clean and short....Zebulon
